We're hittin' the road again today (well, Lisa is 😉) and conducting a Closet Analysis & Cleanout in Eau Claire - All in preparation for their Shopping appt here in the Twin Cities!

Clients always ask, "I know you do virtual styling and shopping, but you travel too??"

Yup 🤗

It's actually pretty common for us to travel.

We're the closest big city to our clients homes, which range from South Dakota, all of Minnesota, and Western Wisconsin. We not only want to take an audit of their closet, but we need to get to know them. We ask those holistic, inner-self questions so we can truly find out:

1) If they have an actual style
2) What that style (or styles) really looks like
3) What are they missing in their closet that creates that style
3) What is their lifestyle like
4) Who are they as a person

All of this goes into our Shopping gameplan. All the shopping options, from local to consignment or thrift, to MOA - and no sales tax on clothing is a BONUS 😜

And I'll be honest with you, we all love a good road trip 🚗 Snacks, music, wind in our hair, ahhh 🧘‍♀️

If you're curious to know where we've all been, visit our website MHstyleconsultants.com/locations Or if you're reading this on Instagram, visit the lik in my bio

AVAILABILITY UPDATE BTW: Lisa is now booking into Oct! If you want fall shopping, then you might want to reach out asap 🍂

PLEASE NOTE: Although we're professional Personal Stylists, that doesn't mean that WE are always dressed up!

It's only a matter of time you see us at the grocery store wearing no makeup and in athletic wear or cozy sweats like these!

I know my stylist Lisa here, has shown up to a workday wearing these sweats And by workday, meaning desk time with me, not to a client appt. I want to make that clear 😂

She swears by these sets by @comfrt so we added them to our Instagram Catalog. Link is in our bio, then click 'Shop!'

Happy Friday everyone ✌🏼

Ladies, have you ever caught yourself feeling bored with the summer uniform of a "tank + bottom"?? Or maybe not bored, and maybe just repetitive??

Outfit idea 👇🏼
✅️Switch out the tank or a tee for a vest
✅️Switch out the bottom for a skirt or a dress

Larger chest? Go for a vest with a vneck and don't get discouraged if the first one you try one isn't perfect 😉 It's out there!

It's National OOTD 💕 Unless you're a client of ours, you haven't officially met Lisa yet!

Hi, I'm Lisa! I've been a personal stylist for the past 6 years, but have worked in the fashion/beauty industry and client-facing roles for over a decade, along with professional work in the arts and as a digital creative. Born and raised here in Minnesota! Most of my life has been spent pursuing creative/artistic endeavors, and when I'm not doing that, I'm traveling, attending live concerts, and spending time with my dog, Nala, friends, and family.

Clients I work with: As of summer 2026, I'll be working with clients of all backgrounds & occupations, genders, and sizes.

Working style: My specialty is thinking outside of the box with a fresh perspective, ditching old "rules" about fashion/style, as well as Dopamine Dressing. My goal is to help you discover the styles that really speak to who you are as a person, and how you can incorporate them into your lifestyle without feeling overwhelmed, afraid, or lost, so that you can feel like you are showing up in the world as authentically as possible, with confidence. With me, you will leave feeling confident about shopping for and styling yourself, and the endless possibilities of having a signature personal style 💕

If you see me around, make sure to say hi 👋🏻

My team and I f**king 🩷 our job & our clients! Sometimes I think to myself, how do we get to do this everyday? Yes, we dress people and help make them look (and feel) amazing, but the outcome is SO. MUCH. MORE. THAN. THAT 🥰

So for today's Monday Affirmation: Do something you love!

Part 1: So it's Mental Health Awareness Month right? 😍 We posted about it on Monday if you didn't see it yet (go check it out). After that post, I emailed my team asking what they do to improve their mental health when needed, fashion-wise and not fashion-wise. Today we're posting Lisa's!

We have been so swamped lately so I haven't written a formal intro to her yet, but she's one of the newest Personal Stylists here at MH. She came on board late last year, got through training, and now is taking her own appts 🥳🤗 More on her later, I promise! Anywho, she has never had a cohesive style since we met. I don't blame her - I don't. We both dress how we want to dress. So it was no surprise that one of her responses to my question was:

🩵 Dopamine dressing!

The other?
👉🏼 Being active 👟

I think (and Lisa probably agrees) a lot of people think dopamine dressing means:
•Dressing in color, or
•Dressing in your best outfit when you're having a good day.

However, a lot of people forget about those bad days!

It can be a mask, and there's nothing wrong with that.

I know when I'm feeling blah, I tend to wear all black (which everyone knows I love color). I personally feel like when I'm in all black, I blend in so people won't talk to me - while when I wear a bunch of color, people notice and give me compliments. Let's be honest with each other, sometimes you just don't feel like talking, or smiling and saying thank you 😂 You just want to be left alone.

So dopamine dressing is where it's at my friends - good days & bad days! And if you don't know what that means to you, let's chat!

Sun's out, style's out ☀️🌻🕶

I think it's common sense that when the sun finally comes out here in Minnesnowta, our dopamine levels increase.

And I think that we also WANT to wear our best outfits in addition to more color 🌈

What are your thoughts? Do you find yourself wearing more color? Wearing your best outfit that makes you feel like you can do anything?? COMMENT BELOW and let us know
