Dear Alice,
As this chapter of your life comes to an end, I want you to remember that God never left you. You navigated life the best way you knew how. You’ve had very high highs and very low lows. Nonetheless, you made it to the next year! That is an accomplishment in itself. You are beautiful, you are smart, and most importantly, you are God’s creation. As you are now 23, thank God for all HE has done and all HE will do. I love you and so does he. Happy 23rd birthday Alice!

Lord, where do I start? Yesterday I received the news that I won one of the toughest battles of my life. After a 7 day fast from food & social media, I sat for the NCLEX. My computer shut off at 85 questions, and the next day I was awarded my Registered Nursing License!! 🥳🥳 All glory to God.

My close circle knows how hard this journey was. I entered nursing school in Jan 2023 and failed out in May 2024. I changed my major, completed 15 credit hours in one summer semester & 21 the next fall so I could graduate quickly and apply to a new nursing school.

I researched so many programs, but most wanted me to wait 2-5 years to reapply because “a failure in any nursing program is a failure with them.” I got my first rejection while in my village in Nigeria with no WiFi to search for another school. 😂😂 Trip ruined lol.

By God’s grace, I came back to the States, got back on my computer, and God led me to a school that took a chance on me. I drove 6 hours to Florida to take the HESI entrance exam because every GA testing date that met my school’s requirements was full. I scored WAY above what I needed.

In April 2025, I was accepted into Georgia Southwestern State University’s Summer 2025 ASN Cohort! I moved 167 miles from family & friends. My car broke down right before school started, so I took the Greyhound home to visit until God blessed me with a new car near the end of my first semester.

I completed my senior practicum in Atlanta, making the 3-hour drive weekly, sometimes twice a week or twice in one day. In June 2026, on my way to practicum, I was hit by an 18 wheeler. The devil tried EVERYTHING, but God carried me every step.

- 15 months of hard work
- Alpha Delta Nu Honor Society of Nursing, Iota Iota Chapter
- Medical ICU RN Residency
- 3.77 GPA
- 85 questions
- & RN license on the FIRST try

Delayed, but NOT denied!! When I tell you there is NOTHING my God cannot do… believe it! 🤍🤍

And mind you, I did all this while juggling 5 jobs. 😜
