Hi y’all! I’m Emily Claire Carlisle, and I just started cosmetology school at Ranger College Cosmetology School in Stephenville, Texas! I’m so excited for this next year of learning all things beauty and stepping into this new season of life. I’m so thankful for God’s faithfulness and for the way He continues to open doors and lead me exactly where I’m meant to be. I’ll be sharing my journey, my work, my days at school, and everything else cosmetology related along the way. I can’t wait for you to follow along!🩷🤎

Well, now everyone officially knows my life-changing decision!! 🤍✂️

After lots of praying, I decided to take a leap of faith and start cosmetology school at Ranger College, and I’m so excited for this next chapter!! This was definitely a nerve-racking step for me because I always pictured myself graduating from Tarleton. But I’ve learned that sometimes God’s plan looks different than the one we had pictured for ourselves, and I’m choosing to trust where He is leading me. I’m so excited that this path will allow me to work for myself, build something of my own, and hopefully own my own business one day! I have so many dreams for this next season, and I can’t wait to see where God takes me.

Not only is it one of our favorite local spots, but after the photos were finished, we enjoyed some incredible chicken fried steak and BLT sandwiches. The food was fantastic, and the waitstaff was an absolute hoot—friendly, welcoming, and so much fun to visit with. If you’re in Stephenville, it’s definitely worth a stop!

People always say “I don’t really know what you do, I just know you help people.” 😂

Fair. Let me show you.

Last weekend I drove to Stephenville, TX to help my client bring her new line to LIFE. Heather & Annie Art is a licensed boutique for Tarleton State University and makes the most adorable apparel and accessories and she needed more than strategy. She needed someone in the room.

That’s the part nobody talks about. Sometimes the work isn’t on a Zoom call. Sometimes it’s showing up on location, getting the shots, and making sure the vision actually lands.

Because here’s what I know about small business ownership: it can feel like the loneliest place on the planet. You’re staring at a decision with nobody to call. You can’t see the next right step. You’re stuck in your own head and you need somewhere to land.

That’s what I’m here for. I’m the landing place.
