BECOMING: THE NEXT 13 | Spotlight 05

Meet Trevor El 🎶

Before the stage name, there was Avo Testimony, a young man from Imo State with one clear belief. Music is a gift from God.

That belief shapes every song he writes. Some are for worship. Some are about love, hope, and purpose. Some sit with the struggles a lot of us face but rarely talk about. And some are just songs you can vibe to.

What makes Trevor El different? For him, the song is only half of it. The other half is how he lives. He wants both the music and the man behind it to point people to Christ.

Honest songs. Real life. Pure faith. 🙏🏾

BECOMING: THE NEXT 13 | Spotlight 04

Meet Jlinez (@jlinez1) 🎶

He grew up in Jalingo, Taraba State, and music found him early. Before he had a stage or a studio, he had a song in his heart and a pull toward God he couldn’t shake.

Today he’s a gospel artist, songwriter, and producer. His sound mixes contemporary gospel with Afrogospel, soulful melodies, and the deep roots of Nigerian music. You can hear it on “SIYONA” and “BAGAJIYA”

What makes Jlinez different? He takes big truths about God and brings them into everyday life. The good days, the hard days, and everything in between.

His mission is simple: honest music that connects people with God. 🙏🏾

Meet LÁTÚNJÍ. Spotlight 03 of Becoming: The NEXT 13.

Born in Lagos. Rooted in Igbotu, Ondo State. Music has been the one constant in his life since he was a kid, and in 2013 he started taking it seriously.

His sound is something you don't hear every day. Afrobeats meets the rich vocal flavor of Yoruba Fuji, with a gospel message at the center. It feels fresh, deeply African, and full of life.

He doesn't stop at singing either. He writes, produces for himself and other artists, and dances. He also holds a Computer Science degree and writes code. A true multi-talent.

He believes music can be deep and meaningful while still being fun to listen to. That belief runs through every record he makes.

For LÁTÚNJÍ, music isn't just what he does. It's who he is. 🎙️

"Establish" is KEPTAH's own song, made with Festizie, and it's simply a thank you. For the doors God opened. For the battles He fought. For the burdens He lifted.

"Set me high, now I'm established."

If God has changed your story too, this one is for you. Share it with someone who's still waiting on theirs. 💛

Meet Tobiloba (@thisistobiloba). Spotlight 01 of Becoming: The NEXT 13.

He grew up in Ogbomoso with music always close by. What started as a love for sound became something deeper, a way to carry his faith. And somewhere along the line, afrogospel found him too.

Now he's in build mode. Sharpening his sound. Getting clearer on what he wants every lyric to say. Every stage and every session is one more step toward the artist he believes he was called to be.

His vision is simple. Music that draws people closer to God while still sounding genuinely good. Proof that faith and great African music can live together beautifully.
This is just the start of his story. Follow along as we spotlight all 13 artists over the next few weeks.

Welcome to the NEXT family, Tobiloba. 🎙️
