Three Ugandan skaters. One national dream. A place on the world stage.
As captain, representing Uganda at the World Inline Speed Skating Championships was more than a personal achievement. It was a responsibility to carry our flag, represent our country and show what was possible for Ugandan roller sports.
We were among the pioneers at that level. The journey was not easy, but every step mattered.
Today, through Skating Club of Kampala, we continue working to ensure that the young generation has more opportunities, better preparation and a stronger pathway to international competition.
We were the beginning. The next generation must take it further.
🇺🇬 Uganda on wheels. The journey continues.

Meet Wania, 7 years old — a young girl preparing for the Skating Club of Kampala Junior Team.

At just seven, Wania is already showing the qualities of a future champion: determination, discipline, confidence and courage.
We are not only preparing her to compete—we are preparing her to believe in herself, lead, take on challenges and discover what she is capable of achieving.

Through roller sports, we are creating opportunities for girls to grow stronger, dream bigger and take their place with confidence.
Empowering girls. Building confidence. Developing champions.
The journey starts young. The future is hers. #skatingclubofkampala #uganda🇺🇬 @ncsuganda1 @nbsportug @worldskateofficial @doubleff_inline

Preparing for bigger opportunities in Uganda 🇺🇬

Skating Club of Kampala visited Busika Extreme Adventure Park as part of our preparations toward hosting regional and international roller sports competitions.

With a developing skating track, accommodation and a peaceful sports environment, Busika has the potential to become a destination for athletes, teams, families and international sporting events.
But this is bigger than skating.
Sports tourism can bring visitors to Uganda, create jobs, generate revenue and support hotels, transport, food businesses, tourism operators and communities.

When we invest in sports facilities, we are also investing in people, tourism and the economy.
Uganda can host. Uganda can compete. Uganda can benefit. #skatingclubofkampala @ncsuganda1 @doubleff_inline @nbstelevision @worldskateofficial @uganda_olympic_committee

È stata una stagione un po’ così,
come queste foto.

Con i capelli lunghi,
spettinati,
la voce roca
e un grandissimo desiderio
di vederli realizzati.

Quando ti dicono che sei bravo,
che sei forte,
che ti ammirano,
non credergli.

Quando ti dicono che fai schifo,
che sei scarso,
che dovresti fare altro,
non credergli.

Pensa al tuo percorso,
guardati dentro,
costruisci solidità.

E soprattutto ricordati
che lo fai solamente per te stesso.
Quando gli altri sono troppo impegnati a guardarti,
tu lavora.

Lavora così tanto
da non accorgerti nemmeno
di essere arrivato con i capelli lunghi e incolti,
senza trucco,
con la faccia stanca.

Perché mentre loro guardano,
tu stai costruendo.

Voli in basso e ti schiacciano i piedi.
Voli in alto e ti bruci le ali.

Ma continua a volare,
per te,
e non aspettarti niente da nessuno
