Angelia Marie Yancey Obituary – Reposted & Added To Exactly 21 Years Later🥹🥲🥺😢
After spending many wonderful years here as an "Angel on Earth", Angelia Marie Yancey became an "Angel in Heaven" on June 11, 2005. Angelia was born on September 4, 1961 in Henderson, N.C. to the late Lawrence Albert Yancey and Shirley Southerland Yancey. Angelia Marie, "Cookie", was one of eight children. She left North Carolina and moved to Richmond, Va. while a student in junior high in 1976, and graduated from Henrico in 1980. She then became a mother, care provider and mentor to dozens of families in the Richmond area. Angelia is survived by a loving husband, William "Butchie" Henry Glasco; three daughters, Shakita, DeJurnett and Katie Yancey; three sons, Jamaal, Michaud and William Yancey; one stepson, Shyheim Williams; one stepdaughter, Nancy Williams; five grandsons D'Angelo Yancey, Amarionne Yancey, Kilan Yancey, Walter Coleman III and Alijah Yancey; three granddaughters, Vonjae Yancey; Aja McCartney and Angelia Yancey, Jr.; three step granddaughters Kaia, Kaila and Adorable Williams, and two step grandsons DeMario and RJ Williams; three brothers, Lawrence Yancey (Ruth), Darnell and Victor Southerland; four sisters, Evelyn Southerland Johnson (Jasper), Darlene Southerland, Charmaine Southerland, and Ann Holiday; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends, one devoted, Joan C. Brown. She was also preceded in death by her late grandmother, Louise Mary Southerland. Angelia was a loving and caring mother, devoted wife, care provider and a loving neighbor. She will truly be missed by all who love her, knew her and were touched by her presence in their lives and will forever be in our hearts and spirits!!!
