OUT NOW — “EACH MOMENT TAKES A PIECE AWAY” by DENIZ TAFAGHODI

We’re delighted to release “Each Moment Takes A Piece Away”—a conceptual, performative art project by sound artist and multidisciplinary composer Deniz Tafaghodi from Canada.

“This release documents an ongoing electroacoustic work developed from the material remnants of a broken clay pot. Fractured during a moment of rupture, the object was subsequently recontextualized as a performative instrument. Since then, its fragments have undergone repeated cycles of performance, recording, and documentation. Through this sustained use, the material has gradually eroded, positioning wear not as deterioration but as an integral component of the work’s ongoing concept.” —Deniz Tafaghodi

OUT NOW — “BLACK SPRING” by JANNA LEE

We’re proud to bring to you the new phenomenal album by Janna Lee from Chicago, IL.

“Spring 2026: the parasitic regime continues to profit from human suffering and still aren’t held accountable for what they do to children. There’s always enough money to start another war, but not for anything that actually helps people. And the Earth never stops rotating. On the Equinox, Persephone returns to the land of the free to witness mass surveillance, masked federal agents, concentration camps. Self-righteous soothsayers claim we chose to be here so we can learn and grow stronger from our pain, and I see blood smeared everywhere.
I found out my rapist finally died, and I didn’t have to lift a finger. But chemicals accidentally killed my lover from 1997. I can barely hold it together in public. Sometimes I don’t even bother. I still dream of returning home by walking into the sea. There’s no way in hell I chose to be here but since I am, I sing and scream as the world falls apart. The cherry blossoms and lilacs are reminders of how almost everything is ephemeral. And those fragments of joy and pleasure keep me tethered to the land of the living.” —Janna Lee

“Janna Lee uses her voice to explore different facets of herself, and exorcise uncomfortable emotions that can’t be put into words. Her solo work combines harsh noise drowning in reverb with haunting processed vocals that probe the dark recesses of a woman’s psyche.” —Women of Noise
