I want to take this moment to thank everyone in my life who has supported me in my academic, professional, and personal journey. For my friends back home for having my back, for my friends in slo who have kept me grounded, for the Jackson studio late night crew, for Doug’s guidance during thesis, my family, and my parents with their unconditional love and support. I don’t think I could’ve done it without you.

A surreal experience.

Yesterday was a significant event for me. I participated on a panel at Wes Jones’“Alameda “ book launch at Hennessy and Ingalls. The moderator was Doug Jackson.

The panel included Thom Mayne, Neil Denari, and Wes Jones. To state that these 3 architects were the most significant, impactful, and influential in my work would be an understatement. It’s evident in my work. I have never shied away from that. It’s the DNA manifested over decades of engagement.

To be sitting next to these giants and visionaries is quite challenging for me to process. My personal architectural history in a single “collective “.

We were asked to all sign copies of Wes’ book. That in itself was a strange but significant gesture.

This meant a great deal to me on a personal level. I am grateful to Thom, Wes, Neil and Doug for the experience.

Thanks also to everyone for the support. 🙏🏻

Envelopes, as building components, are more than aesthetic value. They need to comply many requirements such as production of energy, reduction of carbon footprint, thermodynamic exchange and comfort.
