What is this thing called Art? We all naturally tend to think that the world and things are what we learn about them in the beginning of our lives. When we just follow our parents and environment attitudes. But we need to grow up from childhood, we need to see the whole Universe of humanity in its amazing beauty and meaning because there's nothing more beautiful enriching and energetic. Unfortunately nowadays our world is totally devoid of Art to the point that we don't really know what Art means. And it's so simple - art is specifically human activity meant to deliver a strong, lasting and meaningful impression. An enduring universal message. Like in the case of religion - there's no need for intermediates, for "experts" telling us what to think, what to feel. Real Art just works directly on our psyche. Most of the time we don't have words to express what we feel but we do feel it anyway. And that is exactly as it should be. The words come later or even much later and that's totally OK. So it's a bronze head from the Burdur Museum in Turkey without a description. By the top quality of craftsmanship and sublime expression I guess it's a Hellenistic period work of some master sculptor. I'd love to hear your thoughts, your guesses, I know you can. I tagged those of you which I know for sure could have an educated or intuitive but always important say. Thank you for your say have a beautiful day ❤️ #burdur #hellenistic #hellenisticbronze #türkiye #art #arthistory #arttheory #anatolia
