One meeting. Endless inspiration.

I had the privilege of meeting @officialjuliusogieva the Director General and Focal Person of SDGs @sdgsedostate in Edo State — and what was meant to be just a formal engagement turned into a truly mind-blowing conversation.

We discovered we’re both graduates of the same department and institution (yes, I met a Political Science ancestor 😂 — he graduated long before me). Turns out, we’ve even been working from the same block, yet only just met!

It’s incredibly refreshing to see Political Scientists leading impactful work, using policy, vision, and action to drive change.

I honestly can’t wait to see the changes and projects he has planned for Edo State, and I truly look forward to contributing toward advancing the SDGs in any way I can.

Environmental protection isn’t just a duty — it’s a movement.

During my NYSC service year, I took on the role of Project Manager of the Environmental Protection and Sanitation Group (EPSG) CDS in Oredo LGA. One of my most fulfilling moments was leading and facilitating a strategic engagement with the Edo State Waste Management Board @edostatewastemanagement

Together with my team, we held a fruitful meeting with the @luckyenehitainegbenehi Managing Director of the waste management board, discussing collaborative efforts for a cleaner and more sustainable Edo. That conversation wasn’t just impactful — it was a step toward environmental consciousness and youth-led change in the state.

This opportunity reminded me that leadership isn’t always about having a title — sometimes it’s about driving a purpose.
