🥐The historic Maison @dalloyauparis reinvents itself at 101 rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré with an elegant new setting and a gourmet experience to enjoy throughout the day.
Lunch, afternoon tea, weekend brunch… not to mention the truly exceptional pastries, which for me remain one of the highlights of the Maison. 👌🏼
🍰 A beautiful way to rediscover this Parisian institution, where heritage meets modernity.

Congratulations to all of the hotels!

Paris is magical on its own. But last night, beneath the Louvre, it was something else: the whole world of luxury hospitality in one room : every language, every continent, every kind of hotel to celebrate The 50 Best Hotels 2026. First edition ever outside London, and in just four years this ranking has become one of the most important in our industry. Travellers are still discovering it; hoteliers are watching every move.

Was the list a surprise? Not really. Rosewood Hong Kong is No.1 again : I’ve stayed there, and I understand why. Capella Bangkok is No.2, Four Seasons Bangkok No.3, and Passalacqua on Lake Como is No.5, Best Boutique Hotel for the third year.

The leaders held their ground, the big groups dominate, and many of the same names returned. Independent hotels are still rare in the top 50, and I think that says less about their quality than about their communication. Being exceptional is no longer enough; you also have to be seen. Today, telling your story is part of the product.

What unites every hotel on that list is simple and very hard: structure and service at the highest level. No shortcuts. And the method is serious : 800+ anonymous voters, seven votes each, no applications, no pay-to-play, audited by Deloitte.

And Brazil — my Brazil ♥️ — had a beautiful night. Rosewood São Paulo climbed 18 places to No.6 and was named Best Hotel in South America. Copacabana Palace remains at No.29. Hotel das Cataratas enters the extended list at No.77. I’ve spent more than twenty years watching Brazilian hospitality grow; seeing it recognised in Paris, in front of the whole world, meant something.

Europe led with 21 hotels, Asia had 18, and Paris played its part: Crillon (up nine to No.14), Le Bristol, Cheval Blanc and newcomer Plaza Athénée : four in the top 50 for a single city! Congratulations to all!
