A little behind the scenes catch up from Nova Zeal. I’ve dropped off more tug toys at @friendsofhighlandtidedesigns so there are fresh handmade tugs available there. I’m also in full making mode for Ellon Castle Gardens with @exclusivelyhighlands this weekend, 30th and 31st May, where I’ll have snuffle mats, snuffle balls, Scruffle Balls and tugs with me. After that, I don’t have any markets in June, which feels strange, but I’m using the time to work on new collections, stock prep and some more design-led ideas behind the scenes. There’s also a collaboration with @barklovefestival in progress, which I’m really excited about. And after the @dovecotedogs gifted products did so well, I’m looking at testing brand reps to see how that works for Nova Zeal. So there’s a lot happening quietly in the background, even when things look a little calmer online. #NovaZeal #EllonCastleGardens #DogEnrichment #SnuffleToys #HandmadeDogToys

A slightly chaotic Nova Zeal update. The last month has been a lot, in the best but slightly overwhelming way. There’s been Nova Zeal’s biggest wholesale order so far, a little influx of website orders, the first markets of the year, restocking squeezed in between, and a gifted product sent out to @dovecotedogs too. Everything is handmade by me, so busy periods mean a lot of cutting, tying, lint rolling, tagging and packing behind the scenes. I’m very grateful for every order, market visit, share, message and bit of support recently. It really does mean a lot. Design-led enrichment for curious pets. #NovaZealStudio #HandmadeDogToys #DogEnrichment #SmallBusinessUK #DogEnrichmentToys

Dachshund Mom [noun] A human who frequently says “be careful!” to a dog with zero fear and unlimited attitude. Fully aware she is not in charge. Expert in back support, blanket burritos, strategic treat hiding, and apologizing to strangers while her dog alerts the neighborhood and patrols the house like it’s a full-time job.
