Tonight at @no9nyc, @barangay.co and @down.global transform the dance floor into something more than a party.

BAHAY KUBO, the second installment of this collaboration, takes its name from the Tagalog word for home.

The concept is rooted in bayanihan, the Filipino tradition of community through collective care. Two rooms, a full night of house and disco, and a gathering built around diaspora sounds and the idea that the dance floor can be a cultural space as much as a physical one.

@djmickeyperez brings his Chicago-born, Brooklyn-seasoned, Cuban-Ecuadorian roots and deep connections to African, Latin, and Caribbean rhythms to the Cargo room, joined by @lansuh and @dayewrld. In the Foyer, @jaydalawa, @alcantaradominick, and @mr_celestic, the founder of DOWN, hold down a more intimate corner of the night.

Free with RSVP.

A Thursday that means something.
