It’s time for another GRAY BLEND! 🤍✨

Gray blending is so much more than just throwing in a few highlights. It’s all about strategic placement, precision, and understanding how the natural gray grows in.

Knowing when to weave, when to slice, how thick or fine to make each section, and exactly where to place your foils is what makes all the difference.

The goal isn’t to cover every gray hair. It’s to mimic the natural gray pattern, creating a seamless blend that grows out beautifully without harsh lines of demarcation.

Gray blending isn’t a one-size-fits-all technique. Every head of hair requires a different approach, and understanding the why behind your placement is just as important as the technique itself.

I’ve been wanting to dive deeper into the education side of this industry, sharing not just what I’m doing behind the chair, but WHY I’m doing it.

So hairstylists, get ready! We’re bringing more education, techniques, and behind-the-chair knowledge to this page! 🎨✂️

My first ever voiceover! 🎙️🤎

Let’s talk GRAY BLENDING 101!

Gray blending is one of my favorite services because it’s not about covering every gray hair. It’s about creating a soft, dimensional, low-maintenance look that grows out beautifully.

I’m making it a goal to bring more hair education to this page, sharing the why behind what we do in the salon!

Whether you’re a client curious about gray blending or a stylist looking to learn, stay tuned. There’s so much more coming! 🤍

Would you ever consider gray blending instead of traditional gray coverage? Let me know below! 👇

Fall hair doesn’t always mean going darker… it means going RICHER. 🍂🤎

We brought depth, dimension and that expensive-looking shine back into her brunette while keeping everything soft, blended and natural.

The goal? A color that looks just as beautiful weeks from now as it does walking out of the salon.

If your summer hair is ready for its fall reset, consider this your sign. ✨

I will NEVER stop talking about the importance of a good consultation. 👏🏼

This is my girl, and she comes to see me every three months. I could easily assume she wants the exact same thing every appointment—but I don’t.

As the seasons change, so do my clients’ hair needs. Sometimes it’s a major change, and sometimes it’s just a few small tweaks that make all the difference.

After a quick but thorough consultation, we came up with a game plan together and executed it perfectly. 🤌🏼✨

Never underestimate those few minutes before the service. Listening, asking the right questions, and making a plan is what turns a hair appointment into truly customized color.

Same client. New season. Slightly different plan. Exactly what her hair needed. 🤎

One day, I know I won’t be behind the chair from 10–7 like this anymore… and that change is coming sooner than I thought. Starting in January and February, I’ll be cutting back my days behind the chair so I can dedicate more time to running the salon, growing my team, and teaching my girls everything I’ve learned. 🤍

A busy day of custom color ✨

This is what my 10–7 looks like behind the chair.

As I continue to grow the salon, I know there will be days when I’ll have to cut back on my time behind the chair so I can focus on running the business, growing my team, and teaching my girls everything I’ve learned that helped me become the hairstylist and business owner I am today.

But for now, I’m soaking in every last bit of these busy, nonstop days behind the chair. 🤍

Because no matter how big or grand our salon grows throughout the years, THIS is the real reason I fell in love with what I do.

Creating custom color. Connecting with my clients. Watching a vision come to life. Making someone feel beautiful when they leave my chair.

Building Skye’s Hampton Hair has become one of the greatest parts of my career—but being a hairstylist will always be at the heart of it.

The salon may get bigger.
The team may keep growing.
My role may continue to change.

But I’ll always be a hairstylist first. ✂️🤍

THIS is what it means to TRUST THE PROCESS. 🤎
✨ Slides 1 & 2: Her hair after today’s appointment
✨ Slide 3: Her hair after our very first session
✨ Slide 4: Where we started

Color doesn’t just disappear from your hair overnight. You have to WORK toward your hair goals, and restoring the health of your hair is just as important as achieving your dream color.
This transformation is exactly ONE YEAR AND ONE MONTH in the making, and the results speak for themselves. 👏🏼
Healthy hair takes time, patience, consistency, and TRUST in your stylist. And THIS is why we never rush the process.
Good hair takes time. Healthy hair is ALWAYS the goal. 🤍

She wanted to disguise her grays and blend all those different tones for a softer, more seamless look. 🤎
The result? A rich, dimensional brunette with beautiful movement, shine, and a soft, lived-in finish.

There’s just something about a rich brunette 🤎

Keeping the depth, adding just enough dimension, and giving it that soft expensive feel without trying too hard.
Sometimes less really is more ✨
