The last 24hours do not seem real .
We lost our boy Rukus to cancer and old age .. he was 15yrs and a miracle dog.
To know Ruk was to love him... from being a 6 week old pup left to die in the trash ..he became a happy living Scooby Doo!
He didnt care he only had one eye and his face was crushed, he took life by the paws and lived every moment with joy and happiness....nothing could keep him down, he became epileptic at 5yrs old , Mr S and I helped him through, this boy was a soldier and medically he should not have survived the hundreds of seizures over the years, but he did.
He taught us courage, resilience, never to give up ....
So many funny and silly things he loved to do ... an emotional boy who was the first to be at your side if you were sad, would cheer you up with his antics... loved his furry brothers and sisters.
Its so hard to let go and this house that was once full of life, barking, meowing... laughing is now quiet.
Just little Dahlia and Simba here, comforting us as we navigate without him.
Ruk loved all music .. but his favourite was Hope Sandoval and he would sit and doze to her tunes on the daily .
All animals enrich your life in some way, love and hug yours .. spoil them, life is fleeting and their lives are short, we are their world.
Good night Ruk, love you forever
Mum n Dad ♥️♥️
