🐾 SPOTTED! 🐾

A special visitor was spotted with our Grade 2s!

We were blessed to welcome Father Ed from our local parish for a special visit with our Grade 2 students as they prepare for their upcoming sacraments. 🙏✨

Moments like these remind us of the beautiful partnership between home, school, and parish as we work together to support our students on their faith journey.

Thank you, Father Ed, for spending time with our young Wildcats! 💙✝️

If you didn’t know, our program is located in a building owned by the Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board 📍 Because of this, we are able to assist some of our participants in various volunteer opportunities ✨

Watch along as 3 of our participants volunteered to sort and pack various materials to be distributed amongst local schools 🏫 We are thankful to the DPCDSB and its gracious employees in our building that grant us with these amazing opportunities 🥰

A step back in time! 🕰️🍂

Yesterday, our Grade 3 students explored pioneer life during their visit to Black Creek Pioneer Village. Through hands-on experiences, they discovered what school, chores, and everyday life looked like long ago—quite a change from today’s world of AI!

Thank you to our students for representing SJB so well and to Ms. Caputo, Ms. Cocco, Ms. Costanzo, and Ms. Cummins for making this memorable learning adventure possible. ❤️

Special thanks to Ms. Costanzo for capturing such lovely photos that bring this glimpse of the past to life! 📸

A Beautiful Eastern Newt in its Red Eft stage literally walked onto the tarp our Gr. 2 class was sitting on this morning!! What a cool moment full of wonder and excitement!
We observes them, said our observations out loud and then Nature journaled them after we moved them to a safe spot!

Lots of questions came from this like:
Where are you going?
Why are you orange?
How long is your tail?
Why do you have spots?
Etc!

What to get you students Nature Journaling! Reach out and let’s get you some dates!!

Having the best time at @st.cornedpcdsb over the past week, nature journaling with their students!

This is the second year I have visited the school and to continue their growth, I introduced the gr. 4-7s to mapping their space using their senses!

They also learned a map folding technique so they could turn their map into a pop out!

Take a look at all of their amazing observations!

Interested in having your students learn to nature journaling reach out and let’s chat about your goals and get your dates booked :)

Sunday Heart Hugs 💛🍋

How could you not be moved by this heartwarming story of little Capri in SK, her Sunday lemonade stand and her generous heart?

After a successful day selling lemonade outside her home, Capri’s mom asked what she would like to do with her earnings. Without hesitation, Capri said she wanted to go shopping for our school’s food drive. 🛒❤️

So proud of their daughter, Mom and Dad doubled her earnings and headed to the grocery store, where Capri eagerly filled the cart with the joy of giving. ☺️🙏

Stories like this remind us of the beauty of nurturing faith and kindness at home and at school, helping our youngest learners walk with Christ through simple acts of love.

Thank you to the Taffuri family for sharing this beautiful moment and for their generous support. Thank you as well to all our SJB families for supporting our Fall Thanksgiving Food Drive. Your kindness and generosity reflect the caring spirit of our school community. 💛

We are so proud of Capri and all our students who live their faith through action. Their kindness reminds us that even the smallest hands can make a meaningful difference. 💛

Together, we prepare the way… through faith and kindness. 🙏💛
