THE WEALTH OF WELLNESS LAB was something dreamed up from understanding the needs and nuances that professionals of color face. Many times we’re forced to focus on wealth building instead of our own well-being and it’s a purpose of mine to see that we exist fully, financially and more importantly physically (in our overall health).

@creative_ian (@creativevibes.only) and @spikedwellness collaborated to bring together a multi-day experience @sohohouseaustin during @afro.tech to ensure Black professionals are mindful of the impact their intense roles have on their physical and mental well-being + provide tools to assist in creating new habits.

The activation was transformative day after day as we set intentions, moved our bodies, and shared thoughtful conversations with industry leaders. The feedback we’ve received has been incredible, and we’re happy to be the grounding force at such an impactful conference. I am so proud of the work I get to do and even more proud of my #SpikedGirls who showed up and lead the daily movement.

Thank you @amazonmusic @sohohouseaustin @cashapp for supporting our vision. We can’t wait to bring this concept to every space + industry as “generational health is truly generational wealth.” 🙏🏾

We did a thing at @afro.tech last week and it was a VIBE!

We teamed up with @bri.monee and @spikedwellness as an official Afrotech partner activating the #WealthofWellnessLab pop-up for #blackwomen and #blackcreatives in #tech in Austin sponsored by @amazonmusic and @cashapp

Knowing how overwhelming the conference space is and can be it was important to create a space to not only kick the conference off with purpose and intention but provide tangible mental and physical wellness tools that attendees could start the day with and integrate into each day of the conference and also when they get back home.

We kicked off Sunday with @amazonmusic ‘s Head of Diversity, Equity and inclusion @catchgifucan and dove in on what wellness means and the wealth of wellbeing.

Monday we started our Morning Wellness session featuring @dperk from @broccolicity and @_mik.a from Spiked and Victoria’s Secret on how this shows up in challenging roles and companies whether tech or entertainment.

Tuesday we had a special Morning Wellness session for the ladies on Daily wombcare and well-being featuring @zenysworld @imansss @symonelassic and @bri.monee featuring a mindful moment, and a dialogue with supplemental movement on how women can tangibly tools

And Wednesday we closed out with @naitjones @ryangmundy and @swopes which emcompassed the vibe and energy of the whole week.

Generational Health is Generational Wealth, and this is the beginning of a partnership to create and serve with resources for black women and creatives!

#TheTurban does Afrotech for the Wealth of Wellness Lab!

My heart is still filled with gratitude and Joy from This past week in #Austin at #Afrotech .

@creativevibes.only collaborated with @bri.monee and @spikedwellness to pop up and activate the #WealthOfWellnessLab as an @afro.tech partner at @sohohouseaustin

We came together to provide tangible tools and resources covering for black women and black creatives in tech for their mental, physical and emotional well-being to start the conference with intention around the wealth of wellbeing and we flowed in that Daily with morning wellness sessions featuring @catchgifucan @dperk from @broccolicity @zenysworld from @pinterest @imansss @naitjones from @join_royal @ryangmundy from @alkemehealth @swopes from @ilovesunriseart and movement from Spiked teachers @_mik.a and @symonelassic

The whole week was an Abundantly flowing VIBE! And I am grateful for everyone that pulled up to invest in themselves and to have amazing partners like @amazonmusic @sohohouseaustin and @cashapp who not only believe in this work and our vision, but have supported it.
