“It’s Just Tennis”, a short sports drama about resilience, and finding the will to fight back when walking away is the easier choice.

A small, but furious cast & crew on this one. Many people volunteering and taking on multiple roles. Support came from every direction. A huge thank you to everyone involved.

| I’ve a feeling we’re not in Kansas anymore! 🌪✨

Public domain horror films have been an ever-increasing trend, thanks to the success of The Twisted Childhood Universe, and while audiences have had horror versions of Winnie the Pooh, Peter Pan, Bambi, Mickey Mouse, and even the Grinch, it seems only fitting that the citizens of Oz are back to cause chaos in Dorothy: The Haunting of Oz

The cast is made up of rising independent talent making their first feature film debuts, including Adrienne Tabag, Caia Bonner, Jordan Sklansky, Aziah King, Andrew Wang, Thomas Shan, and many more!

The new Grimm tale tells the story of a viral Halloween challenge that unleashes the Wicked Witch of the West and Dorothy into a Northern California college town. As a supernatural curse spreads, a grieving young woman named Melanie must confront her past while a group of basketball players fight to survive a nightmare where myth, trauma, and reality collide

While the Haunting of Oz is tackling the public domain world of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz (1900), most movie lovers are familiar with the most popular adaptation, The Wizard of Oz (1939). It is a truly magical and surreal film thanks to its wondrous production design, its use of Technicolor to bring vivid visuals to life in a never-before-done way, instantly iconic characters that have stood the test of time, and the absolute earworm of a musical score. If you watched it as a child, however, you undoubtedly were not only watching in awe but also horror!

See–beneath the shining exterior of the Emerald City and the glossy glow of the yellow brick road, the film has an innate eeriness with its characters and storytelling. The easily noticeable analysis would refer to the nightmare-inducing flying monkeys, the Wicked Witch herself, or heck, even the opening twister tearing through Kansas; however, every odd and eccentric being in the world of Oz has a dark uncanniness to them, from living scarecrows and angry apple-throwing trees to disproportionate Munchkins and an ax-carrying man made of tin

Anna has been alone for a long time.

So have most stories like hers. Underfunded, unseen, waiting for someone to believe they deserve to exist.

52 of you changed that.
52 of you believe in the future of female indie film.

We’re deep in the edit now, shaping every frame with the weight of what you made possible. The world of The Date is coming to life because you decided it should.

This one’s for every single person who contributed on Seed&Spark. You’re not just supporters. You’re the flame beneath this story.

Thank you. We won’t forget it. ❤️
