Hi guys. I know I posted about watching and meeting all the amazing golfers at the @dpwic last week in Delhi but this was something extra special !!! Thanks to the fab people at @adaptivegolfalliance I was invited to be a part of chipping clinic from THE SHANE LOWRY, the legend himself who won the Ryder Cup. Not only did he help me, he kept saying, you can do it, you can hole it when I was making bad shots (on a side note, what the hell was I doing?!! I know it is completely ok to make mistakes but why did I do that in front of the legend, I should be trying to make a good first impression). Anyways, as I was saying, I was doing bad shots but one shot went amazing (the second video), it popped up and it almost went into the hole but friction stopped it. Shane cheered and made the whole crowd cheer for me. That is like Taylor Swift telling a swiftie, you sang amazing. He or she would stop functioning. My mind was like, did Shane just cheer for me? I’m dreaming, right? I was SO ready to fall to the floor because anyone’s idol complimenting them would make them feel the same. Thank god I composed myself or everybody would call an ambulance when it isn’t a medical emergency, more like “my idol complimented me” emergency. What a fantastic day and experience … thank you @shanelowrygolf for the lesson, the pic, the signed golf ball and for signing my cap and Dad’s book. Best day ever !

Had an amazing time surrounded by so much talent. It was a fantastic opportunity for golfers to learn, gain insights, and get inspired by some of the international legends of the game.

Loved the atmosphere, the competition, and the challenge throughout the championship!

Ronaldo continues his world tour with DP World Tour Championship—signing autographs mid-round and just being his joyful, generous self.

Ronaldo wears the Grönefeld 1941 Grönograaf in tantalum (one of 25).

The Dutch “Horological Brothers”—and Renaud & Papi alumni—Bart and Tim Grönefeld first presented the prototype Grönograaf at the 2022 edition of Watches & Wonders. Their creation was an instant sensation, and it lived up to the promise: the first series, executed in 25 tantalum pieces, was quickly sold out and the piece went on to win the prize for the best “Chronograph Watch” at @gphg_official—the Oscars of the horological world—before the end of year!

Beyond the distinctive instrument-like aesthetics of its asymmetric dial that finds a most pleasant balance between classical inspiration and contemporary edge, the Grönograaf stands out with its innovative “soft reset” mechanism.

The innovation actually takes its place in the unique constellation of the dial—at the traditional 4 o’clock, at 5 vis-à-vis the off-set time-telling dial—in the form of a centrifugal governor exhibited.

With its two solid gold weights, the operation of the governor would be an otherwise familiar sight from minute repeaters where it sets the pace of the chime. Here it acts to slow down the reset function of the chronograph. And thanks to the heart-shaped cams for the counter hands, they return to their initial position by moving clockwise or counter-clockwise. With ruby-jeweler hammers, every detail ot the movement is oriented towards lessening the impact on its components. Those components are further ennobled with an high-horological treatment; cal. G-04 is a traditional column-wheel movement with lateral coupling with impeccably finished components organized around an arrow-headed and mirror-polished bridge, which is distinctive in its elongated, slender beauty.

The 30-minute totalizer is situated at 6 o’clock; it counts the minutes with an instantaneously-jumping hand for an easy read-off. The subdial also features the unique number of the watch in the series.
