Some stages feel bigger than the room they’re held in… and ORCAA is one of them.

Standing there, alongside extraordinary clinicians from around the world, was not just an honor, it was deeply humbling. To share a stage with people I admire, respect, and learn from constantly is something I never take for granted.

ORCAA has a very special place in my heart. It’s not just about clinical mastery, advanced techniques, or pushing the limits of what we can do surgically. It’s about the people. The conversations in the hallways. The vulnerability in sharing complications and lessons learned. The friendships that cross borders and time zones. The feeling that we are growing together.

I am so grateful for the opportunity to share my journey, my experiences, my mistakes, and my lessons in the hope that it inspires even one clinician to believe they can do more, become more, and step into rooms they once thought were out of reach.

Thank you, @orcaa.global , @dr.g.dmd.omfs , @subwrx04 , @rabbi.dr.eldiesel @chichu99 and the entire executive team for trusting me with this precious stage and for creating a space where excellence and humanity coexist so beautifully.

Hace unos días estuve en Washington DC en el congreso de la AO @academyosseo , uno de los encuentros más importantes del mundo en implantología. Allí tuve la oportunidad de impartir un workshop sobre suturas y también de participar en el programa como ex-presidente del Young Clinicians Committee (YCC), compartiendo experiencias con colegas de todo el mundo.

Después, viaje a Nueva York, donde impartí una conferencia en la New York University, universidad en la que tengo el honor de ser profesor adjunto del departamento de Cirugía Oral @nyudentistry.international . Siempre es especial volver a NYU y compartir conocimiento con estudiantes y profesionales de distintos países.

No podía faltar la comida en @casagaliciany aprovechando para ver a amigos y el partido del Depor.

Pero el viaje todavía guardaba una sorpresa inesperada.

A la 1 de la madrugada, la alarma del hotel empezó a sonar. Al principio piensas que será una falsa alarma… hasta que miras por la ventana y ves las llamas y el humo negro subiendo por la fachada hasta la altura de tu habitación, en el quinto piso.

Tocó salir corriendo por las escaleras mientras los bomberos llegaban. Una de esas situaciones que te recuerdan que, por muy planificado que esté todo, la realidad siempre puede escribir un guion propio.

Afortunadamente todo quedó en un susto… y en una historia que ahora ya forma parte del viaje.

Ciencia, docencia, colegas de todo el mundo… y una anécdota que difícilmente olvidaré.

Ahora de vuelta en casa, con muchas ideas nuevas y con más ganas que nunca de seguir compartiendo conocimiento.
