I am deeply honored and grateful to the NAACP Biloxi Branch for inviting me to serve as the keynote speaker for the Annual Freedom Fund Banquet. Thank you to President Herschell Pargo and the entire organization for your warm hospitality and commitment to advancing justice, equality, and community empowerment. I also want to thank my dear sister, Sheila Arrington, for recommending me as a speaker to the NAACP.

Thank you to the Gulf Coast Mississippi Chapter of the Links, Incorporated, @gulfcoastmschapter, the Theta Zeta Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated @thetazetaomega_aka, and the Louisiana South Central Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction for your generosity and encouragement. The heat couldn’t stop this village. 🤍

Saturday we took the Community Stroll indoors, and our mamas SHOWED UP. Our regulars, new faces, and the sweetest moment of all: one of our village mamas, just 8 weeks postpartum, came out so we could finally meet her baby girl. THIS is what the fourth trimester should look like. Surrounded. Supported. Celebrated.

The littles played their hearts out in community , mamas connected, and @cfalakeside even surprised us with an activation where our babies won some fun prizes. 🐄

An air-conditioned loop, full bellies, new friendships, and a village that keeps growing.

To every mama who came: thank you for choosing yourself on Saturday. And to our newest little village member, welcome, baby girl. We’ve been waiting for you. 💛

Next stroll July 25th. Your village is waiting.

I am blessed and proud to represent The Louisiana South Central Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction at the 76th Church of God in Christ International Women’s Convention in San Antonio, Texas.

This year’s convention brought together women from around the world for powerful worship, impactful teaching, meaningful fellowship, and spiritual empowerment as we united in advancing the Kingdom of God.

It was an honor and pleasure to have met Dr. Dorinda Clark-Cole, Elect Lady of the International Department of Evangelism and member of the legendary Clark Sisters, and Mother Esther K. Rabb, Supervisor of Women for the Louisiana Central Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction.

I thank God for the impact of this convention and I celebrate the phenomenal COGiC women whose ministry continues to bless generations.
