There was a point where I genuinely thought my back was always going to limit my life.

I got diagnosed with scoliosis in 2018, but by 2019 I couldn’t stand for more than 5 minutes without feeling it. That was the point where it stopped feeling like “just a diagnosis” and started affecting how I lived.

I honestly thought back surgery was where this was heading.

In 2020, I started going to the gym because I wanted things to change. But even though I was trying, I was still in pain. By 2021, I hit the point of thinking, I can’t do this anymore.
Getting help from an osteopath in 2022 changed the direction of everything.

Not overnight.
But slowly, I started moving better.
I started trusting my body again.
By 2023, I was moving pain free.
By 2024, I noticed my back didn’t hurt anymore.
By 2025, I competed in a powerlifting competition.
And now in 2026, I’m in a place where I won’t be needing back surgery.

That version of me who thought this would always define my movement would never have believed this.

If you’re in the stage where your body feels like it’s working against you, I get it.
