After starting at @therunnersacademy as a coach with the Learn to Run program back in 2017 and being part of the midtown team as a rehab focused Chiropractor, I am proud to share that I am now helping individuals hit their goals at the @runnersacademy downtown on Tuesdays and Fridays at our new location at 504 Wellington!

Whether you are starting to run for the first time, training for a race or dealing with work related aches and pains, come by to check out our new location and feel your best today.

I support individuals with soft tissue therapies, joint adjustments, acupuncture, and run gait analysis. I prioritize home based rehab and strength exercises to support you with feeling your best beyond the treatment session. Please reach out with any questions about what a session would look like!

Start smart. Finish strong. 👟

We’ve designed our Learn to Run program to be the last “beginner” program you’ll ever need. 🙌

We combine expert coaching with a focus on longevity, ensuring you build a solid foundation that lasts long after the program ends.

Our in-person runs are paired with weekly topics designed to build your “runner’s toolbox”, covering everything from run technique and training principles to recovery and strength training.

By focusing on gradual progression, we help you bridge the gap from “not a runner” to confident and injury-free. 🎉 Plus, you’ll have a community cheering you on every single week!

📍Join us @ The Runner’s Academy Midtown (918 St Clair Ave W)
⏰ Tuesday and Thursday evenings @ 6:30 pm
🗓️ Begins May 12th for 6 weeks

It’s January (for another week 🤯)

Now is the time to work on improving your run technique for your next goal race!

When you run a marathon it is 40-50,000 steps 🤯, for the race alone AND all the training you do to get there.

So if every step can be a little better it can have a huge impact on your performance.

🛑 STOP putting the brakes on your stride!

Not sure where to start… We can help @therunnersacademy

Ps thanks for @qswruncrew for having us out this fall to talk all things run drills & skills!

Have you seen yourself run?

The ways in which we move and run can influence the stress and load that our body is faced with. In the presence of injury, gait retraining can be an effective strategy to offload symptomatic tissues and redistribute the stress away from vulnerable areas. Patient centred, individualized cues and exercises based on your specific movement patterns is how I approach this. Developing a tool kit with each patient that they can incorporate into their training week.

In parallel, working to adjust factors to optimize your running performance. With a thorough assessment, strategies designed to help you move your best can be paired with specific rehab exercises and manual therapies to get you to where you want to be. We dive into an example of this with a gait analysis, paired with an assessment, soft tissue therapy, acupuncture and specific active care exercises. Problem solving together and creating ways for you to move comfortably without pain. Connect today to get the most out of each step 👟 🎉🚀

You know what to do! Pull up, big energy in tow and let’s show those runners what the Toronto run scene is all about. 🙌

Hamilton friends, and other out of towners, this is <1k from Exhibition GO Station. Consider your Sunday booked! Honestly, can you name a better way to spend a morning?

We didn’t think so.

@towaterfront42k we’re coming for ya! 🍌📣

We recently partnered with lululemon’s @qswruncrew to lead a run technique workshop for runners gearing up for fall races...and some post-run ice cream, of course 🍦.

The biggest question?

How to stay strong through those last shuffly miles.

Here are three game-changing strategies 👇

High hamstring pain that lingers when you sit, sprint, or stretch?
You might be dealing with proximal hamstring tendinopathy — and stretching it could be making it worse.

Here are 3 red flags to look out for:
1️⃣ Deep glute pain during sitting
2️⃣ Pain during hill running or strides
3️⃣ Discomfort during forward folds or hamstring stretches

This is something I’ve been dealing with myself — and most runners rehab it the wrong way.

💥 Tendons don’t want long static stretches or rest forever.
They want load — the right kind, at the right time.
