From roommates to lifelong friends, we’ve shared it all laughter, tears, and now diplomas Optometry school brought us together as strangers, but it is the countless late night, study sessions, and spontaneous adventures and shared triumphs that turned us into family❤️ From navigating the highs and lows of Optometry school to celebrating every milestone along the way, I couldn’t have asked for a better friend by my side . Here’s to the memories we’ve made, the challenges we’ve overcome, and the bright features ahead of us wherever life takes us!!We know that we’ll always have a special place in each others heart❤️ Cheers to us! From blurry beginnings to crystal-clear future!! I can finally say I’m a Doctor of Optometry! Here’s too entering Optometry’s School in the middle of a pandemic, making it through non-contact modality settings, having late nights and early mornings, dealing with the endless exams, and preparing for all the changes with our boards examinations! Even with the occasional eye twitching, I wouldn’t change a thing because every challenge brought me closer to this moment and I am ready to set my sight higher than ever before with NO EXCUSES!🥂 Keep your eyes on the prize and never lose sight of your dreams. Congratulations Class of 2024, WE DID IT!!🤩👩🏽‍🎓🎓

Dreamin’ about this past weekend at the @iauprso @eyeland.2024 — one of the only annual #optometrystudent ran conferences! I’m so grateful to have made the trip with my two awesome colleagues, Kristen & Tiffany, Premier Edge Career Support (PECS) Recruiters! Showing off how awesome the students I work with is such a pleasure and an honor! From the Friday night Vendor Parranda to the Saturday night Gala, there was so many genuinely engaging moments had! I appreciate all the small touches the IAUPRSO Student Government provided to make it a great experience for all, industry and students alike! Also, I HAVE TO shout out a loud THANK YOU to @marchoneyewear for providing #sunglasses for every attendee! Gracias a todos 🇵🇷 #wearevsp

1st Rotation ✅ I survived the Memphis VA rotation! I learned so much here! If you’re considering VA… this is your sign! I am feeling more confident than ever as a soon to be practicing OD! Working along side my peers from Arizona, St. Louis, Chicago, and Southern College of Optometry was just a bonus! Next stop… Ophthalmology in Philly✈️ Memphis has been great to me!🫶🏾

Saw some of the most creative costumes ever! I wouldn’t want to end my time in Memphis any other way! 🎃Let’s appreciate Velma’s myopic humor from our childhood☺️👓🔎 Happy Halloween!!👻 #Halloween2k23

Ａｃａｄｅｍｙ ‘２３⚜️🎭🐊 My first academy experience was nothing short of amazing 🤩 Being able to see what all the world of optometry has to offer was so exciting. The highlight of my trip was meeting people I could identify with, as they shared their experiences and successes in the realm of optometry. What is academy? Academy is the yearly optometric conference of the @aaopt which has the goal of maintaining and enhancing excellence in the optometric practice. So here optometrists and optometry students have to opportunity to network, attend continuing education lectures, and have the opportunity to meet with exhibitors and learn about their latest innovations in the optometric industry. NOLA owes me nothing! 💚💛💜 #optometry #optometrystudent #studentdoctor #berkeley #conference #nola #bigeasy #bahmas #blackgirlwhitecoat

New Orleans treated me to an unforgettable week! Started with the AFOS meeting, humbled and grateful to be named AFOS Student of the Year. 🌟 Rounded off the week at my first Academy, making new connections and cherishing old ones…and engaging in some great CE 🤓. Looking forward to more enriching experiences at AFOS and Academys in the future! 🙌
