On October 7th, I had the honor of addressing our Beverly High Jewish and Israel club and the Jewish Student Union members at their tree dedication ceremony in memory of the October 7th hostages and victims. I addressed these students last year following the October 7th terrorist attack. As a City Councilmember and former School Board Member I am incredibly proud of these students and their continued leadership. BEST DAY EVER!!! Being part of the El Rodeo Elementary School Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening Ceremony was a dream come true. As an alum, this school holds a special place in my heart, and I knew I had to pour everything I had into making this day unforgettable for our community.

We dedicated countless hours, late nights, and the entire summer to ensure every detail honored the 97 years of history that shaped El Rodeo.

Walking through the hallways where my journey began, knowing I helped preserve this legacy, fills me with a deep sense of pride and gratitude.

Seeing the smiles on the faces of over 2,000 people in attendance—family, friends, and neighbors—who came together for this moment, is something I’ll carry with me forever.

El Rodeo gave me so much, and now, I feel like I’ve been able to give something meaningful back. Knowing I’ve contributed to the future of a place that shaped who I am is incredibly fulfilling. Here’s to the next chapter for El Rodeo Elementary students—I’m excited to see how they continue this incredible journey! ❤️🤍

📝 Addressing Classroom Sizes and Zoning Concerns for our schools 🏫

Many of you have reached out to me about classroom sizes and the importance of sending your children to schools within your designated zones. While this matter doesn’t fall under my role as Vice Mayor, I had the privilege of addressing our wonderful Beverly Hills School Board as a concerned citizen.

In my public comments, I emphasized that families deserve the right to send their children to schools within their residential zone. It’s crucial that families living just a few blocks away from El Rodeo are not forced to drive across town for schooling. This not only fosters a sense of community but also aligns with our sustainable urban development efforts, promoting a walkable community.

I also highlighted the need for additional classrooms at the newly renovated El Rodeo School, particularly for the fourth grade. We must prioritize accessibility and convenience for our residents to support young families within our school system. These families are the future of our city, and we must do everything in our power to attract and retain them in our community, ensuring our public schools remain competitive with private institutions.

Thank you to the Beverly Hills School Board for the excellent work you are doing. Let’s continue to work together to ensure our schools serve the best interests of our children and our community.
