In the beginning it’s all a blur. The days and nights all run together. You’re waking up every couple of hours, changing diapers half asleep😵‍💫, feeding around the clock, while also trying to take care of yourself and still be present for your other children.

Family comes over to help and give you a little break but once everyone leaves, it’s right back to the newborn reality. Then one day, without even realizing it, you start to find your rhythm again😌.

You learn your baby. You learn their cries, what calms them down, how they like to be held, when they’re actually hungry and when they just want to be close to you🥹. You figure out your little routine and then it really hits you… we have a newborn again🙂😂.

The little smiles. The way he looks at me while I’m feeding him. His tiny hand wrapped around my finger🥹. The way he settles when I put him on my chest. Watching his sisters love on him and seeing them become big sisters all over again. Watching my husband with his son. Looking around sometimes and realizing that this is really our family now. Three babies. Two beautiful girls and our boy. My family of 5.

We’ve really been in our little bubble these past 6 weeks and I haven’t felt the need to rush out of it or rush back into “normal life.” I know how quickly this stage passes now. I know there will come a day when I would give anything to have one of these middle-of-the-night feeds back, to hold him this tiny again or to hear those little newborn noises while he sleeps beside me.

I guess I can say that’s the biggest differences this time around. With your first baby, you’re trying to figure everything out. By your third, you realize just how temporary all of it is.

So I’m trying not to complain about being tired too much. I’m trying not to wish for longer stretches of sleep or for him to get a little bigger so things become easier. I’m just letting this season be what it is. Beautiful, exhausting, messy, emotional and so incredibly special. 🥹💙

After all the waiting, praying, imagining what you would look like and wondering what life would feel like with you in it…. you’re finally in our arms.

You completed our family in a way I don’t think I’ll ever be able to fully put into words. Watching your sisters love on you and watching Daddy with his son makes my heart so full. 🥹

One month of loving you and soaking in every moment of this season. You were worth every moment that led us here. 😌💙

Thank you for slowing us down. Thank you for reminding us to be present. Thank you for reminding us that the days we sometimes think we’re just “getting through” are actually the days we’re going to miss.

We love you OBJ! 💙🥹👑

🤍Just like that… this chapter of my life is closed.

Three pregnancies. Three babies. Three completely different journeys that changed me in ways no one will fully understand.

It’s bittersweet, knowing this was the final round. I’m grateful, relieved and super emotional. Somehow, I already miss a version of my life that I know I’m ready to leave behind.. but what a beautiful way to end it. Two girls, our baby boy and the family we prayed for. I’m ready for what’s ahead but a part of me will always miss this season.

I wasn’t going to post this, but I couldn’t resist 🥺.
Aaliyah came home from school, grabbed her new book out of her backpack and immediately started reading to Mimi. I’m so glad I caught it all on camera… but this is the part that got me.

If there was ever a moment that made me think, “Wow… Aaliyah is going to be the best big sister,” it was today.

As I wait for Baby Jr.’s arrival, my heart is so full knowing he already has these two exceptional big sisters waiting to love him, teach him and help him grow beautifully. 🙏🏾☺️

A day we’ll cherish forever. 🤍

Our first and last baby shower. We didn’t have one with Aaliyah because of COVID and with Aamirah we celebrated with a big gender reveal. So being able to finally have a baby shower for our baby boy made this moment that much more special.

We’ve prayed for this little boy for so long and standing in a room filled with the people who have loved, supported and prayed with us was something I’ll never forget. Every detail was beautiful and the atmosphere was filled with so much love.

A huge thank you to my best friends @youthful_beauty and @sexyshann for hosting such an incredible celebration. You both poured so much love into this day. Thank you to our planner, @themeit_inc for bringing the vision to life. The room was BEAUTIFULLY decorated 🥹 and the event ran smooth. Thank you to @kookinwithkryssi and my mother in law for catering some of my favorite dishes🤤. Everything was absolutely delicious. Everyone enjoyed it. Thank you @treatyouful for the 3 tier cake, LAWDDDD🤤. Thank you @phil_daht for coming through on such short notice to shoot our event.

To our family who flew in, our friends who drove hours to celebrate with us, everyone who bought gifts (every item on our registry was purchased within weeks🥺🙏🏾)
and everyone who stayed behind to help clean up afterwards, thank you. You guys know how emotional I am as of late so the love, generosity and presence meant more than words can ever express.

As I sit here writing this caption, teary eyed, I’m reminded of just how blessed we are. This little boy is already surrounded by an incredible village and that is something we’ll never take for granted.

Now, we patiently wait for the day we finally get to hold you in our arms, Baby Obinna Jr. 💙 You are already so deeply loved. To God be the Glory🥹🙏🏾

You don’t realize how pure their hearts are until moments like this.

All week she’s been eager for this loose tooth to fall out. Yesterday it finally did.

While preparing for bed, I went to the bathroom and heard her praying for $10. She made sure to tell the tooth fairy she was at her nana’s house tonight 😂 and went right to sleep like she knew it was already handled. 🥹

In our home, we teach our kids to pray in everything.
Yes, we let them believe in a little magic…
but what we’re really building is faith. 💕🙏🏾

Being their mom is something I’ll never take for granted.

When your child prays for something… do you always try to make it happen?

✨Because a good man deserves romantic surprises too❤️
2 years ago today, my husband gave me my dream wedding.
This year, I wanted to show him how much I appreciate all that he is as a father, partner, provider and protector.

I surprised him with a romantic dinner on the beach @miamibeachproposal; Nigerian food @rejoiceafricanrestaurant, @hermes loafers, a love note and deep conversation @tales. The evening couldn’t have been more perfect. The wind had its way with my hair🤣 but it’s all good.

We’ve prayed, we’ve trusted, we’ve waited… and God said YES! Through every season, every prayer whispered in quiet moments… He was listening.

Two beautiful daughters who made us parents…
And now, a son who completes our story.

This love, this life, this journey… we don’t take a second of it for granted.

It’s a reminder that God’s plans are always greater than ours.

On this Anniversary, we celebrate 9 years of love but even more, we celebrate God’s faithfulness, His perfect timing and the blessing that made our family whole. 💙✨
