Jurors heard a lot about attorney Aaron Bregman during the punitive damages phase of the Iskanders’ wrongful death trial against Rebecca Grossman and Scott Erickson.

Bregman is an attorney in Sherman Oaks, California, who is close friends with Rebecca’s husband, Peter Grossman, and he is the trustee for Grossman’s brother’s trust.

Peter Grossman took a loan from his brother’s trust, and the Iskanders’ lawyer Brian Panish questioned him about that while implying Bregman conspired with Grossman against his brother’s best interests. Panish also questioned Grossman about $199,400 he transferred to Bregman’s family trust, which Grossman testified he does not remember.

“Were you lending him the money?” Panish asked.

“I do not know what this is for, sir,” Bregman answered.

Panish asked if Grossman frequently makes “$200,000 transfers that you don’t know about within the last several years?”

“Sir, there is an extraordinary amount of legal fees that were paid over the last several years,” Grossman said.

Judge Huey Cotton intervened.

“Don’t inject things that you’re just making up. If you don’t know that this is the legal fees, don’t say it,” the judge told Grossman.

“Yeah, you don’t even know it’s for. How could you say that?” Panish asked.

“Your question was asking me if is it my common practice to not know what’s going on, and I’m trying to give you my best answers,” Grossman answered.

“It’s a yes or no, sir. Do you often transfer out $200,000 that two years later you can’t tell someone what it was for? Yes or no?” Panish asked.

“I can’t answer that, yes or no, sir,” Grossman answered.

“So you don’t know?” Panish asked.

“I can’t answer that, yes or no, sir,” Grossman answered.

“So either you know or you don’t know. Do you know or not know?” Panish asked.

“You’re placing me in a position where a yes or no is not an answer. I’m happy to answer the question for you, sir, but you can’t pigeonhole me into yes or no,” Grossman answered.

Jurors heard several excerpts of recorded calls between Peter and Rebecca Grossman during Peter’s testimony in the punitive damages phase of the Iskanders’ wrongful death trial.

Rebecca Grossman is in prison for killing young brothers Mark and Jacob Iskander while speeding and impaired in Westlake Village, California, on Sept. 29, 2020. Her husband was a key witness as jurors consider possible punitive damages after determining she and the driver witnesses said she was racing, Scott Erickson, are liable for $176 million in compensatory damages.

Attorney Brian Panish represents Nancy and Karim Iskander. He questioned Peter Grossman on Monday (June 8 ) about his statement that Nancy was “full of sh**” when she said she saw Rebecca at the hospital after the crash.

“You and your wife believe Ms. Iskander is full of something, don’t you?” Panish asked.

“No, sir,” Grossman answered.

“You and your wife never said that Mrs. Iskander is full of it when she said she saw your wife at the hospital?” Panish asked.

“Did I say that, sir?” Grossman said.

Panish played a portion of a call in which Rebecca said “the mom” said she saw her at the hospital and “that’s just not true.” Peter told Rebecca, “She’s full of sh**.”

“Does that refresh your recollection?” Panish asked.

“Yes, sir,” Grossman said.

“You believe ... this case is driven by the Iskanders’ hatred and ill will to towards you and your wife, don’t you?” Panish asked.

“I can’t answer that in a yes or no question, sir,” Grossman said.

“Did you ever say the Iskanders have no forgiveness and brought this into their own false narrative, this case?” Panish asked.

“I believe I may have said that,” Grossman answered.

“And you believe that there was a rush to judgment in this case, don’t you, sir?” Panish asked.

“I absolutely do, sir,” Grossman answered.

“You believe your wife shouldn’t be responsible, don’t you, sir?” Panish asked.

“No, sir, that’s not true,” Grossman answered.

You can watch all testimony on my YouTube channel. Attorneys will give closing arguments today (Tuesday, June 9).

Peter Grossman testified on Friday about a “documentary” being produced about his wife’s prosecution and imprisonment.

Attorney Brian Panish asked Grossman about the documentary during the punitive damages phase of the wrongful death lawsuit against Rebecca Grossman and Scott Erickson for the Sept. 29, 2020, deaths of brothers Mark and Jacob Iskander, who were in a crosswalk when Grossman struck them in Mercedes-Benz AMG.

Jurors on Wednesday said Erickson and Grossman are liable for $176 million in damages. They also said they acted with malice or oppression (or fraud for Erickson), which opens them to punitive damages.

Peter Grossman, a prominent plastic surgeon whose father founded the Grossman Burn Foundation, is a defendant because his wife’s SUV was registered in his name. He didn’t testify in person in the liability phase, but he’s a key witness as jurors consider punitive damages because the damages are to correlate with Rebecca Grossman’s assets and Panish told jurors she’s trying to shield assets from the Iskanders.

Panish asked him about the documentary early in his approximately two hours on the witness stand on Friday.

He referenced Paul Huebel in the courtroom, whom Grossman described as “a former newscaster, or news figure, and he is also an investigator.”

Grossman said he and his wife aren’t paying for a documentary but “people have asked us to make a documentary.”

“And Marla Maples, she’s been involved in helping in the documentary, right?” Panish asked.

“She has been involved, yes, sir,” Grossman answered.

“And Howie Mandel is another one you recruited to be involved in this documentary, right?” Panish asked.

“Not to my knowledge, sir,” Grossman answered.

Grossman said he’s “not privy” to the production details but “I know that there is people are making a documentary.”

“I certainly have not objected to it, but I have not had anything to do with the financing of it,” he said.

Grossman said he believes the “that at one time there was a title called Gross Injustice.”

“It’s called Judicial Misconduct, isn’t it, sir?” Panish asked.

“I have no idea about that, sir,

Plastic surgeon Peter Grossman is testifying today in the punitive damages phase of the trial over the Iskanders’ wrongful death lawsuit.

Grossman’s wife Rebecca Grossman, is in prison for hitting and killing young brothers Mark and Jacob Iskander in a crosswalk in Westlake Village, California, on Sept. 29, 2020.

Grossman is a nationally prominent plastic surgeon whose father founded the Grossman Burn Foundation. The jurors that awarded $176 million in compensatory damages on Wednesday saw video of lawyers for Karim and Nancy Iskander questioning him in depositions, and he testified in person for the first time as the jury considers possible punitive damages against his wife and her ex-boyfriend, retired Major League Baseball pitcher Scott Erickson.

“Your wife killed Mark and Jacob Iskander, didn’t she?” asked attorney Brian Panish.

“My wife was involved in the accident, and she bears responsibility for that. I don’t particularly care for the word kills,” Grossman answered.

“Your wife was driving a motor vehicle that killed two youths while she was over the legal limit of alcohol, correct?” Panish asked.

Judge Huey Cotton overruled an objection and Grossman answered, “No.”

“No? Your wife wasn’t over the legal limit of alcohol?” Panish asked.

“I do not believe she was over the legal limit of alcohol, sir,” Grossman answered.

Panish asked if the Grossman discussed “preventing Panish from getting control or access to all your assets.”

“We talked a number of things, and I believe that may have been a conversation,” Grossman answered.

“Is that a yes?” Panish asked.

“Yes,” Grossman answered.

“In fact, part of your scheme and plan was to transfer assets so the Iskander family couldn’t collect from your family, correct?” Panish asked.

“No,” Grossman answered.

“So you didn’t rely on lawyers to create all these trusts and transfers documents? You did that all yourself?” Panish asked.

“I don’t believe that was your last question. I think you asked me if I did it with an intent to hide. The answer to that is ‘no’,” Grossman answered.

I’ll keep you posted on my progress. Thanks for all your prayers and support!

The surgery will be over by the time this posts lol
Eye lid surgery is something I’ve done twice in the past will minimal success just bc of how easily the skin in that area contracts. Both times, it healed and tightened up again. I pray it’s different this time.
Really grateful to @dr.petergrossman 🙏🏽 anyways I’ll try to keep yall posted on my recovery☺️ #burnsurvivor #skingraft
