Special thanks to Alfred “AJ” Palomino Jr., Project Designer at Thomas & Hutton (@aj.palomino )!
A 2015 Newton High grad and Southern University civil engineering alum, AJ took time to speak with our students and support their Architectural Design project. We appreciate his insight!

Had the chance to serve as “Principal for the Day” at my alma mater, Mansfield Elementary, and it made my entire week. I even got to talk with Dr. Strickland’s 5th grade class about recess football games and cafeteria chicken nuggets. Top-tier topics if you ask me. 😂

The best part, though, was running into some of my earliest supporters, like Mrs. Julie Holt, the Media Specialist who helped me fall in love with books.

Grateful for the experience and even more committed to supporting our educators and strengthening our education system. #education #newtoncounty

ICYMI 🎙️
This is one of the most important episodes we’ve done.

As a dad, a school board member, and someone who cares deeply about our future here in Newton County… I really believe this conversation matters.

In Ep. 61 of The Town Square Podcast, Gabriel and I talk with
👉 Dr. Duke Bradley
👉 Dr. Shannon Buff
👉 Dr. Tim Schmitt
about a new K–12 workforce development framework that’s already being built into our schools.

This is how we help kids connect what they’re learning to who they’re becoming.
This is how we give them real options—college, career, trades, or entrepreneurship.
This is how we build a better Newton County.
