Dr Sarah Bux - BSA graduate Feb 2022 after completing the 6 day hands on course, as a treatment provider. She was recommended by her friend, a previous grad.

She carried out a beautiful treatment for a lovely patient, with me, and here is what she had to say. Always grateful for the amazing people who’s journeys I get to play a part in 🙏

6 front teeth. Super thin #porcelainveneers and a missing tooth replaced, lower teeth moved slightly using aligners to improve the bite. It all started with a hand crafted trial smile that we tested and then copied into porcelain.

All treatment carried out without injections.

Trying to keep things looking just how they should have always looked

@itvnews thankfully helping us @thebacd to educate the public by featuring a story on the dangers of cosmetic dental tourism - worth a watch for dentists and patients alike.

Often more minimally invasive treatment than what is being offered is possible. These options are much more difficult to perform and therefore not offered by some dental tourism clinics.

That is why researching the specific credentials of who you choose to see and learning about their work is critical.

I saw this patient today after 18m and it reminded me how much I like what we did here, so I had to post it. 6 porcelain veneers to correct colour, position, shape. Today I asked how she’d got used to it and she replied “it’s been life changing” - that’s why we do this

FAQ series again : How many teeth do I ‘need?’

It’s not a simple question, but an important one. Watch to hear my take on it after designing and placing thousands of veneers, I’ve had this conversation with every patient. Sometimes it’s more than expected and sometimes it’s less. It can’t be answered by a photo or a DM. Arrange a consultation and we can decide together.

what we do know is most people do NOT need 24 “crowns” on their teeth for cosmetics, which is what is being done at some clinics abroad in a cut price, low quality, dangerous way. #turkeyteeth

Vice President - The British Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry @thebacd

It’s a surreal moment to have been elected as VP after many years on the Board, of one of the largest cosmetic dental academies in Europe, but most importantly for the academy full of people I respect and admire, and that I owe so much to.

Thank you to Suzy Rowlands @thegirlfromshropshire for sending that committee application back in 2013 to a young and scared dentist, and to all my amazing committee members who have been a part of my journey over the years.

Thanks to my talented @bespokesmile team @drlydiasharples @drkarinakowalski and of course to @drnatalierout for accepting the sacrifices that have come with my passions.

SWIPE to see a young Sam learning at the 2014 conference. I was probably too shy to appear in anything before that…how that changed…

There is so much more to do to shape #ethicalcosmeticdentistry over the next few years and I know with our current Board of Directors we can achieve great things for cosmetic dentistry in the UK & across the world.

14 porcelain veneers, 2 porcelain onlays. SWIPE to see more.

My patient had noticed his teeth shortening and becoming harder to display when smiling. This effect ages people so my brief was to create a more youthful, visible smile, with a bite that doesn’t wear down the teeth.

To me that translates more volume, raising / reorganising the bite, all with minimal touching of the natural tooth.

Treatment all without anaesthetic, starts with a hand made trial smile, which we test and design, then copy to porcelain.

Lovely to see this patient loving his effortless smile now. Thanks for trusting us.

FAQs - why use #teethwhitening if my whiter #porcelainveneers will cover them anyway?
