In honor of AHS Coven and Practicla Magic both coming out in September, here’s a lil homage to witchy women. May we never stop being our weird, mystical selves!

I’m much happier in the woods than in the club.

Big shout out to my coven of witches @dr3amoore and @mani.fest.nailz and to our wonderful cameraman @evantendo64 ❤️🖤 I love casting spells with you.

Before we do anything, sign anything, make any sort of commitment - we gotta meet. We are a relationally focused business, afterall. So, we always always gather with our potential future couples via a little face to face virtual first date action… non dating app style.

Anyway, we had a meeting last night with a potential couple, and they not only “got it,” but also explained it right back to us in a way nobody has before. In 14 years of doing this. Something they said really stuck with me.

“We can see your love for each other in the way you photograph other people in love.”

WHEW.

Just typing that out again spurs the waterworks all over.

We focus a lot on deeply seeing the people we photograph and allowing space for them to exist as themselves and experience fully. AND, we’re also artists, so we bring pieces of ourselves into our work (another reason for fine tuning our inner being on the regular.. but that’s another soap box that is tucked neatly under the bed waiting for her moment). Funnily enough, I’ve always thought of the self coming through as coming more from the things that taught us to see.

OF COURSE that also comes from our own love story. OF COURSE we also see people in love through a lens of how see each other and what we value in one another. OF FREAKING COURSE!

We’re currently embarking on our 18th journey around the sun as a couple (whoa). 15 of those being married. 9 of those with tiny humans. So yes. Some bits of our own love story and understanding of relationship will be interwoven into the way in which we see and photograph you. And honestly, that’s pretty freaking cool. It’s the little dance we all get to do together.

If you like the idea of joining in on our relational rumba. Hit us up. You can stalk our work via the link in our bio or head straight to the contact button.

See ya there.

As wedding photographers in the biz for 13 years and counting (eeeshk!), the best piece of advice we could give is to show up and live.

It may seem obvious. Living your wedding day. Like, you’re physically there, so that counts… right?

I mean.. yeah, it does, AND to live it fully present, open to all the possibilities, is a whole other shoe. And we want the glass slipper to fit. Ya know?

When you’re able to fall in. Like, REALLY fall in, there’s a shift. An alteration to the little bleeps and bloops (that’s sophisticated speak for neural pathways) in your brain that goes on to create memory markers stored as “significant.” That will then show up in your gallery (and honestly, your every day) and how you receive it. It’s very Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

Having vendors who are with you through all the happenings (ahem, that’d be us… ahem ahem), that can hold that space for you to exist and remind you to check in to self changes the entire frame (photographer pun). We’ve watched hundreds of wedding days unfold, and know well how much this kind of reverence to your experience matters.

If this sounds like something you want, you know where to find us. And if you don’t… there’s a link to contact in our bio or you can tap into our DM’s.
