Nieuw project! New project! We are pleased to share the news that The Giant of Mogadishu has been selected for Studio Heuvelland, the new collaboration scheme between the Netherlands Film Fund and the Limburg region. Under this scheme, promising filmmakers are given the opportunity to develop and realize new, distinctive film productions with strong roots in the province. Elbe Stevens Films produces The Giant of Mogadishu, written by Randy Oost and directed by Laurens Jans & Herman van den Bosch. A gripping thriller about prejudice in a small community and the search for the truth, in which suspense alternates with sharp humor and unexpected lightness. It is precisely this combination that gives the story its own distinctive tone. We look forward to realizing this special project over the coming year. In addition to the directors, our core team consists of executive producer Roos Aerts and junior producer Nasrin Reshadi.

NEW SIGNING - DR. BOWMAN We are unbelievably excited to welcome the brilliant duo Dr. Bowman to the Banjoman roster. Dr. Bowman are a directing duo who bring a unified vision to every project, overseeing both direction and cinematography. Their work is defined by strong visual language, emotional depth, and a natural sense of humour. Showcasing a distinct visual style, campaigns for IKEA, Milka, Mercedes-Benz, McDonald’s and more feature in Dr. Bowman’s portfolio; but the true high points in their career so far have been their more personal projects, drawn to telling gripping human stories with a touch of humour. In recent years, Dr. Bowman have delivered acclaimed films for leading global brands, and their approach remains rooted in the creative curiosity and collaboration that sparked their partnership from the start. Keith Bradley, executive producer at Banjoman, commented “We’re really excited to be representing Dr. Bowman in Ireland, bringing their distinctive, director-led and cinematography-driven approach to the market here. We were immediately drawn to their storytelling of deeply human stories with humour, craft, and visual precision, all built on their rare combination of directing and cinematography. They’re also genuinely sound, talented guys who we know we’ll make great work with. Their filmmaker-first mindset and focus on composition and narrative align perfectly with Banjoman, making them a brilliant and natural addition to the roster.” Dr Bowman commented “Banjoman is a strong director-driven company that focuses on quality rather than quantity. This is something we value, especially in this day and age. It feels like a place where we can grow, take risks, and feel at home. And not unimportantly: they are just nice people that we’re really excited to work with.”
