It’s hard to imagine living like we did in the 80s and 90s before smartphones, the internet, and social media. The technology cat is out of the bag and it’s only accelerating faster and faster. Maybe it’s better, maybe it’s worse. Hard to say.

While I’d enjoy being young again, I’m grateful I grew up right before the big technology shift of the internet and everything that came after it. Even before beepers, when we had just one house phone for the family. One TV with a dial from 2 to 13, and a couple channels didn’t have anything on them.

Walking train tracks in the 90s with other graff writers, disconnected from the rest of the world. Now it feels weird to leave home without the phone. Always connected. Back then there was no “what if someone needs to get ahold of me?” feeling when we were out in the world.

The generation before mine probably had the same thoughts, but times are changing faster than ever.

We’ll see what happens.

@djapx1 Had to introduce DJ Starscream at the House of Gods venue. It had been awhile since we got to hear some jungle from him. Great night Sid even jumped in the crowd and signed autographs...... sheesh

That time 𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗕 𝗠𝗨𝗦𝗘 went techno with John Tejada.

Date: 1.29.2010
Event: 90
Lineup: John Tejada, Kuru, Kemst
Venue: Stone Bar in Hollywood
Snaps by: @intoforeverphoto

Another adaptation in the evolution of 𝗖𝗟𝗨𝗕 𝗠𝗨𝗦𝗘. Our tastes had changed. Our sense of what we wanted to be a part of shifted. It was time to incorporate techno into our gatherings, and who better to help than @johntejadaofficial? This event lead to a consecutive string that incorporated a blend of techno and bass music. These days we’re back at it with the genre that started it all.
