Ever feel like you do the same exercises, the same way, every time you hit the gym? Something worth messing around with is changing the position of load during a single or double leg exercise.

☝🏼 The Rack position adds an upper body demand to an otherwise lower body focused exercise
✌🏻 A Contralateral hold will challenge things like core to maintain a symmetrical stance when one side is heavier than the other
👌🏼 Ipsilateral, same side, is often the hardest variation when it comes to challenging balance and stability when working on the same side that is weighted heavier

Each of these variations have a time and a place dependent upon the goal of that given exercise or session.

If the goal is max strength, load that shit up in both hands and hold it at your side (or use a barbell) to focus on weight rather than worrying about balance and stability

If the focus is coordination, balance, or some level of core demand, mess around with one of the unilateral options.

If you need help or have questions dm me “💪🏼” and we’ll have a chat.
