Don’t skip Salzburg if you’re planning Austria 🇦🇹 ✨
This little fairytale town gave me some of my favorite Europe memories… and here’s the perfect 1-day Salzburg itinerary you can follow 👇
Start your morning at the dreamy Mirabell Palace & Gardens 🌸 Walk through the flowers with the fortress views behind you —it literally feels like a movie set.
From there, stroll through New Town and cross the iconic Lovelock Bridge over the Salzach River to reach the charming Old Town. Every corner here looks like a postcard—pastel houses, tiny cafés, and violin music in the air.
Next, explore Salzburg’s beautiful cathedrals and step inside Mozart’s Birthplace 🎻 Don’t forget to try the famous Manner chocolates 🍫 (small, cute & perfect souvenirs!).
For lunch, we ate at Taste of India—such a comfort meal after all the walking 😊🌶️ (perfect if you’re craving Indian food in Europe).
In the afternoon, take the funicular ride to Hohensalzburg Fortress (around €11–14) or trek up if you love hiking. The panoramic view of Salzburg from the top is unreal 🤍
End your day exploring the magical Christmas Market (if visiting in winter) or just enjoy Old Town lights with coffee in hand ☕✨
