I spent a stimulating and inspiring few days at the recent 10th Combined Dermatology Congress, which brought together colleagues from across the country and leading international speakers.

The scientific programme delivered an impressive blend of clinical updates, advances in treatment, innovation and original research, with international faculty sharing valuable clinical pearls and insights from their latest experience around the world.

Between the intense scientific sessions, our pharmaceutical partners provided some welcome light-hearted diversion through fun, interactive experiences showcasing their latest products.

✨ SkinCeuticals unveiled the new P-TIOX Anti-Wrinkle Cream at an elegant launch event, while Eucerin brought the energy with their fun and vibrant “Orange Obsession” launch of the Oil Control UV Face Serum and Heliocare introduced “ rooibos containing” Aktuva in an African inspired breakfast.

As always, our local dermatology congress is so much more than a scientific meeting. It is an opportunity to learn, connect, exchange ideas, build professional relationships and discover the latest developments shaping dermatological practice.

At this year's South African Dermatology Congress, our NAOS stand welcomed dermatologists and registrars for candid conversations on skin health, evolving treatment approaches, and the science behind BIODERMA and Institut Esthederm.

A special thank you to @konstantinosliopyris, who joined us from Greece to share his expertise in dermoscopy and early skin cancer detection.

Moments like these are a reminder of why we do what we do: advancing dermatological science, together with the medical community.

Grateful to receive this Certificate of Recognition from the Society of Dermatology for my contribution as a speaker at the South African Combined Dermatology Congress 2026.

It was a privilege to present and share the platform with distinguished colleagues.

Beyond the presentation itself, the congress was an invaluable opportunity to engage, learn and exchange perspectives with colleagues across dermatology and related disciplines.
