Berlin, 15.02.2025 - One week before the Bundestag elections, thousands of people demonstrated in the capital for the rights of queer people. Around 10,000 participants gathered at 11.55 am under the slogan "Five to twelve". The reason for the demonstration was concern about the strengthening of right-wing parties in the early elections.
It was the first winter CSD in German history - a novelty in the otherwise summer tradition of Christopher Street Day.

The demonstration started at the Bundestag and made its way through the city with five trucks to the CDU party headquarters on Nollendorfplatz. The participants called for stronger protection of the rights of queer people and sent a clear signal against discrimination and hatred.

But Berlin was not alone: at the same time, winter CSDs took place in 55 cities across Germany, united under the motto "Vote for Love".

The demonstration was peaceful. With music, banners and speeches, the participants made it clear that anti-queer tendencies in politics will not go unchallenged. The focus was on the fear of possible setbacks in queer legislation - a scenario that is feared due to the growing influence of right-wing parties.

So, Jahresendabrechnung:
Das Jahr ist so gut wie vorbei und ich habe mit nichts von dem, was passiert ist, gerechnet.
Leben ist wann man nicht mehr kann, aber trotzdem weitergeht, or so I heard... Now, let's waltz this out
