Quiet. Contemplative.
It's no secret that I love intense color and bold mark making in my abstract work... But I equally enjoy creating a softer, more nuanced, layered composition that invites you to come close and discover colors and details you might not perceive at a glance.

Blowing a Glass Trout - Part III | Art in Motion

A sculpture is frozen in time, but a masterpiece always looks alive.

Part III of our series focuses on a critical milestone in the hot shop: sculpting the tail. Watch how Andy Nichols utilizes his pioneering techniques to infuse a sense of powerful, fluid motion into solid glass, capturing the raw energy of a trout cutting through a river current.

Watch the motion unfold.

Bring a piece of the river home. Visit nicholsartglass.com to inquire about commissions.

I just delivered six small paintings (9” x12”) on Yupo paper to @dragonfiregallery. It was a really fun experiment that I started during a demo at the Gallery and finished in my studio. I look forward to creating more work on Yupo paper. The paintings are matted and ready to be popped into a frame.
