what a day 😭‼️ we (our esteemed doorperson @ilovenoiseee) lost count after 130 attendees. thank you so much. we really feel the love!!! and you can thank iyan for hooking us up with @xfilestheme.mp3 of @machin3gir1 for a surprise set at the end 🎶🤖

my high points—
• "your blog post got me through my senior year of college"
• "wait.. you're guyanese?.. I'M guyanese!"
• "i came here for [one artist out of the five]; i can't believe i haven't heard of the other four!"
• "we tore down one of the @dazegxd exhibition mode posters [wheatpasted around NYC in 2024] and it's hanging in our living room now— sorry!" (don't be sorry!! it's the highest compliment!!)

Had a great time walking in the 3rd Annual Lower East Side Puerto Rican Parade with the @lesyearbook committee. Seeing the community come together, celebrating our culture, and marching through the same streets that helped raise me made the day extra special.

The Lower East Side has always been home, and it’s beautiful to see our stories, history, and traditions continue to be celebrated by the next generation.

Thank you to everyone who came out and showed love.

The LES Yearbook @lesyearbook will be marching in the 3rd Annual Lower East Side Puerto Rican Day Parade & Festival this Saturday, June 6th!

We invite you to come out and celebrate with us as we honor culture, community, and neighborhood spirit.

We also want to take a moment to recognize and thank the incredible creators and organizers of this event, @lilah.mejia and @tc_rosario . These two women are truly BOUT THE COMMUNITY! They consistently pour their time, energy, and hearts into creating meaningful opportunities that bring people together and uplift the Lower East Side. Their dedication, passion, and love for our community do not go unnoticed, and they deserve all the flowers for the work they do. 🌹 💐🌹

A special thank you to the artist @draizys for making this beautiful flyer.

We look forward to celebrating with everyone this weekend. See you at the parade! 🇵🇷🇵🇷🇵🇷
