And he nailed it! 🔥
I was completely obsessed with the first three Probotector / Contra games as a kid (still love them) so having a nice art piece on the wall was something i felt was missing.
.
And i've been a fan of @dan_parker_doodles for a while now, and suddenly it just hit me. This dude is awesome at drawing both robots and aliens!
So i chose the awesome looking late stage boss.....
.
"Emperor Demon Gava (天王鬼ギャバ, Tennō Ki Gyaba?) is one of the main antagonists of the Contra series. He was introduced in 1988 as the final boss of the arcade version of Super Contra. He is the supreme leader of the Red Falcon alien army and is often encountered either as the final boss or near the end of several games".
.
Thank you again Dan, you rule 😊

Morbid Angel were one of the first DM bands i got into, so i have a long history with the band. Seen 'em live only twice though. One time in '04 with Tucker and then in '05 when Vincent came back.
.
I don't own all the studio albums and i guess i never will. After Heretic, well those albums aren't for me. It pains me but i can't get into them.

Thank's to the latest episode of @thecabinetofdr.howdy Podcast, also with @il_pinguino and @damagedspecter , i now have an urge to revisit my favorite David Cronenberg movies, it's been a while for sure. I might even return to "Shivers" and watch "Dead Ringers" for the very first time. It's gonna be such a sickly good time 🤮

Mortem (Peru) appreciation post! 🤘
.
.
No instagram account, only their debut is on streaming (but the songs are split-up) and finding their music on physical media ain't easy!
Maybe they're happy with this (?) but i think they deserve better, more recognition.
Because they've always stayed true to themselves, never sold out. They got better with time, songwriting and playing their instruments improved with each release, but the foundation stayed the same. That's honorable in my book. Hail The True Mortem!

"MORTEM is one of the oldest and most celebrated bands from the obscured Peruvian extreme metal scene. Founded by Fernán Nebiros and Alvaro Amduscias in July-August 1986 Mortem has been through several line-up changes as they toured South America and released a number of demos. Mortem released their debut album Demon Tales in 1995 after signing a record deal with Peruvian record label Huasipungo Records. In 2003 and 2004 Mortem became the first Peruvian metal band in history to tour Europe and the United States".

@ejademax Made an awesome video about the importance of physical media, watch it and read what she wrote. I got nothing to add, just trying to help spread the word with my video.

If you watched the whole video i thank thee, much appreciated.

Long Live Physical Media!
