Pennant just turned three, so naturally we released a music compilation on Spotify.

See, over the last few years, we’ve had the very real, genuine pleasure of working with our friend and local musical genius @chris_plante on original tracks for a whole bunch of Pennant projects.

Between anthems, explainers, endorsements and some projects that didn’t quite fit the mold, each of these is a little moment of texture and world-building. They help stories move and make sense, but more than that they’ve given us something distinctly Pennant to bob our heads to.

Because some collaborations stay attached to the project they were made for. But these ones? Truthfully, these tracks have become ingrained in the identity of the studio.

So yeah, as a little gift to ourselves and the world to celebrate our third birthday, we’re proud to present Trust Issues, Vol. 1 — fifteen original tracks composed for Pennant work, collected in one place for the first time.

Twenty-three minutes to sit back, get in the zone, and build some trust of your own.

Pro Tools view of a recent spot by @pennant.video for @revcooking . These projects are incredibly fun because the video arrives completely silent, allowing us to build the audio from scratch and enhance the visuals piece by piece. We’ve begun crafting a sonic identity for RevCook, focusing primarily on percussion with a strong emphasis on sound design. Big thanks to Rev Cook creative director @mdcaputo and @timbradleyvideo for pulling me in!

This last year required that I suit up every day in the full armor of God. Thank you Jesus for 4015 days clean & sober! The Armor of God Ephesians 6
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. 11 Put on the full armor of God,so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. 12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. 13 Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. 14 Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, 15 and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. 16 In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. 17 Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people.
