What an absolute honor it was to serve as the VIP Red Carpet Hostess alongside former HMF Scholarship recipient and Ortho Surgeon Dr Iggy for the Centennial Celebration of the Houston Medical Forum. The 100th year celebration was nothing short of amazing. THANK YOU to my friend, Soror and colleague Dr Kemp for trusting me with the assignment. Thank you to the entire committee, executive board and leadership team for your dedication to the next generation of black physicians. And congrats to all the amazing honorees.

Humbled and Honored 💫

See you next year🙏🏾💃🏾

When the event makes it out of the Facebook group! So excited that I had a chance to network & fellowship with Houston Black Women Physicians last week. Slow hand clap to Dr. Bosley for coordinating this event because I can imagine that planning a social outing for doctors is like herding cats. It was so nice to see folks in beautiful attire instead of scrubs!

I hope we made our predecessors such as Dr. Thelma Law (the first Black woman OB/GYN in Houston…see my prior posts) proud that her perseverance & sacrifice made it possible for an event like this to take place.

There are not enough of us so I pray this post reaches the future physicians of Houston but I am so proud to work with these incredible women to reduce Black maternal mortality. It does not matter if these women represent ER, psychiatry, radiology, internal medicine or OB/Gyn…we all play a vital role in healthcare and hopefully showing up with mocha skin makes a patient or two feel seen.

A night rooted in purpose, presence, and powerful community. ✨

Throwing it back to an unforgettable evening at the 11th Annual Global Humanitarian Awards Gala where leaders, visionaries, and changemakers came together to celebrate impact that reaches far beyond the room.

From the red carpet to the stories shared on stage, every moment was a reminder of why we do this work. 🤍

Grateful to stand alongside those who continue to lead with compassion, service, and intention.
