2025 / PORTRAIT SERIES V.4 I believe that portraying someone is not simply about recording a face; it is about trying, even if only for a brief moment, to come closer to the essence of the person on the other side of the lens. The face and its expression are usually the starting point, but behind them something deeper appears: character, history, mood. For me, every portrait is a mixture of the visible and the invisible, of the physical form and what inhabits it. In that balance between appearance and essence—between what can be seen and what can be sensed—is where the image stops being a simple copy and becomes an interpretation of who that person is at that particular moment in their life. I have always felt gratitude toward those who allow themselves to be portrayed by my camera. Every photograph I develop tries, above all, to be a small tribute: a gesture of admiration toward the person who stood in front of the lens. For me, each image is a small detail meant to give back something of what I saw in that instant, a way of saying that their story, their presence, and their expression deserve to be remembered. This is the last group of photographs in this 2025 series, and I close the cycle with the same wish with which it began: that life will allow me to continue portraying those around me, with the same dedication I have now and with the same attention to detail that I have always tried to maintain.

Each set of images in this series holds more than a collection of portraits: it shelters an intimate universe, a constellation of gestures, gazes, and silences that speak of the personal history of the one who stood before the camera. It is not merely about framing a face, but about hinting at the world that inhabits it—its struggles, its joys, its searches. In every photograph there is a living narrative, sometimes evident and sometimes barely perceptible, yet always present for those willing to look beyond the surface. Part of the intention behind these images has been to move toward an aesthetic that dignifies and embraces; one that allows each person to see themselves as if they were part of a film scene, as if for a moment all the light and context conspired in their favor. That when they look at themselves, they may feel valued, cherished, the protagonist of their own story. Because in the end, each portrait does not simply capture a moment: it proposes a way of seeing oneself and of being remembered.

25-06-2025 / RESTREPO This week my latest campaign for @underworldtattooshop , “¡Modifica tu avatar!”, comes to an end. With this one, I’ve now built and developed more than 20 campaigns for the brand, and the results speak for themselves. We developed their cyberpunk concept some time ago, and this time the muse was #GhostInTheShell, from which we deeply explored the nature of consciousness, identity, and the “self” in a world where technology has erased the boundaries between human and machine. We addressed the following key questions: •What defines identity when the body is replaceable? •Where do the boundaries between the human and the artificial blur when identity submerges into the network? •What remains of individuality in an interconnected world? •Is consciousness purely biological, or can it exist independently of the body? Although these concepts aren’t all shown explicitly in the campaign, they were essential to approach identity from a cyberpunk perspective—connecting the identity of the target audience with the identity of the brand. The knowledge we build is the map for strategy, and creativity is the route we take as a means to an end. Thanks again to @juand.montes , @linamariart , @kidfle_ and @tatianatoro19 for bringing this campaign to life. Thanks to @mmisaeltovar for trusting me once more to add value to his brand. And thanks to the entire #UnderworldCrew for helping us write this new chapter. #StayMorph 📸: @ohwow.group / @linamariart

¡Modifica tu avatar! #ModificaTuAvatar #StarMorph #BiowareYourself
