15 years is a long time to be a part of something.

And today, as I say goodbye, I realise I am not really saying goodbye to a job. I am saying goodbye to a very important part of my life.

I am one of those people who genuinely loved my work. I loved being a developer. I loved learning, solving problems, building things, and most of all, I loved being around people.

IT has been incredibly kind to me. I have been fortunate to work in MNCs without having to face much of the politics or difficulties that we often hear about.

It has been my source of income, but it has also been much more than that. In many ways, work became my meditative space—a place where I could immerse myself in something I loved and, for many years, it gave me a sense of stability when other parts of life were not so stable.

I have met some truly wonderful people along the way and when I look back at these 15 years, what surprises me most is that I remember so much goodness.

Mostly good memories.

For that, I am deeply, deeply grateful.

And I realise I am not leaving because I am unhappy. I am not escaping from anything. There is no bitterness or disappointment behind this decision.

Obviously people asked me, “Why would you leave a high-paying job and choose uncertainty?” I understand that question. It is a completely valid one.

And then there were people who didn’t try to convince me otherwise. They simply said, “If this is what you feel you need to do, go for it.” They trusted me even when I wasn’t completely sure of myself.

I am grateful for both kinds of people.

I don’t know what comes next.

I don’t even know if I can explain this feeling properly.

I just know that, after 15 years, something in me is asking me to pause, step away, and listen to what comes next.

There is no grand reason. No dramatic story. Just a feeling that it is time.

And maybe that is the hardest part of saying goodbye to something you genuinely loved.

So, one last selfie as an IT employee. ❤️

Every child begins life trying to understand the world.

They observe.
They question.
They compare.
They count.
They wonder.

Long before we call them Science and Mathematics, they are already living them.

Perhaps the challenge isn’t helping children love these subjects.

Perhaps it’s making sure they never lose the curiosity they were born with.

Episode 1:
Homeschooling or Regular Schooling?

Over the past few years, I’ve had the opportunity to spend time with children from regular schools, homeschooling families, open-schooling communities, and unschooling environments. Through Aatrral, I’ve also had countless conversations with parents trying to make what they believe is the best decision for their children.

The more I observe, the more I realise there isn’t a single answer.

Every child is different.
Every family is different.
Every family’s values, circumstances, and support systems are different.

If there’s one thing this journey has taught me, it’s this:

Start with the child, not the schooling system.

If a child has already discovered a meaningful direction, perhaps the learning journey can grow around that curiosity.

If they’re still exploring, structure may play an important role.

At the same time, I don’t think an entire family should have to sacrifice itself in the name of giving a child the “best” education.

Children don’t grow in schools alone.

They grow in families.

So maybe the questions are not just:

“Which schooling system is better?”

Maybe we should also ask:

“What does this child need right now?”

“What kind of home are we creating together?”

This is, of course, a much larger conversation than a single post or carousel can cover.

These are simply some of the thoughts that have emerged through my journey so far.

In the coming posts, I’ll share more of my experiences, the questions that have challenged my own thinking, and how my perspectives have evolved over time.

I’d love for this to be a conversation rather than a conclusion. I’m curious to hear your thoughts too.
