#NICUAwarenessMonth 🤍

This word 😭🤍

I didn’t understand what the pain was going to be when I got this word; like most women, I figured it would be labor itself.

The pain I felt and had was all emotional/mental.

A couple weeks after this word, I was admitted to the hospital for my high blood pressure.

I felt stuck in this endless loop of monitoring, prescriptions, and appointments.

I became so exhausted.
I felt like a failure.
Nothing was getting better.

I had to look out of these windows too many times.

34 weeks came (April 22nd) and I had to get a C-section; if we kept waiting, Israel and I would have been both at higher risk of being harmed.
(I was so scared)

This wasn’t what I wanted, but I thank God we did it!

My little miracle was born at 34 weeks.

10 days in the NICU.
Eating, sleeping, and growing.

We spent 6-8 hours everyday with him. I was pushing through the pain just to see him.

I sobbed every time I arrived and left. I cried myself to sleep bc he wasn’t with me.

I thank God for the nurses that watched over him!

A few day before he came home, we finished his room; it was in a moment like this where I reminded myself that the NICU wasn’t forever.

This was where I started to feel the joy come back; my baby was coming home :)

It was all worth the wait.
My son was (AND IS) healthy.

Our first day/night with him - it was so hard and nerve wracking for a few weeks.

I was terrified of him dying everyday.
I had severe anxiety and couldn’t sleep.
I felt like I was the worst mom bc I had still being hanging on the fact that my body wasn’t safe.

One day it ceased! Praise God!
I got know my love more and more each day. It’s the best.

Now here we are… 4 months of love!
He’s healthy, chunky, and lovable.

I would do it all over again 🤍

2026 Reynoldsburg Tomato Festival Pickleball Smash was a HUGE success!

This past weekend we got the honor to host 255 players in our 3-day tournament!

Many fun memories were made, a lot of competitive games were played, and a lot of tomatoes were eaten! 🍅

Thank you so much to @matchpointcolumbus for letting us host our tournament there!

We can’t wait to see what the future holds and are excited to host even bigger and better tournaments!
