A small local team with years of traditional animation experience, this project showcases the artistry and skill of some of Pakistan's best 2D Animators, Concept Designers, VFX Artists and Compositors, who generously contributed their talent and time to create this classic animation tribute.

Only got to spend a little less than a year working at Mano, but just those couple of months taught me more than I could have ever hoped to learn as a first-time digital animator. From never having touched Photoshop to getting to work on Pakistan's first hand-drawn animated feature film, under the tutelage of some truly amazing, inspiring, and talented minds, it feels SURREAL to be seeing our names appear on the big screen.
I would've never gotten as into digital art as I am now if not for the work I saw my co-workers churning out on a daily basis.
When I say these people are miracle-workers with their creativity and attention to detail, I truly mean every word.
These guys are i n s a n e.
Some of them spent close to a decade on this project, and I can't imagine the level of dedication that must've taken (considering how frustrated I'd get over a 5-second shot when it didn't get approved right away...).
'The Glassworker' is nothing if not a labour of love and passion for the art, and I know that shines through in the finished work.
I urge you all to watch "The Making of 'The Glassworker'" short series over on Mano's Youtube channel to kinda sorta understand the meticulous-ness of the process of hand-drawn animation, especially in a place like Pakistan, and to celebrate all the local talent responsible for making it possible.
So incredibly proud of each and every person that poured their heart and soul into this film, and so happy to see them getting the recognition they deserve. 🥹

Firstly, Alhamdulillah! A LONG time coming. Glassworker premiered yesterday. I still remember the decision I made to halt my university studies to join @manoanimationstudios .My role began in this journey as a junior animator and ended at Assistant Animation Lead within the span of 4 years, and boy...what a ride it was. It was beautiful, joyous, educational, tough...really tough...but memorable. The people i got to work with there are GEMS. The love for animation got us through all the hurdles and made it possible to complete this film and set a milestone in Pakistan. I'm extremely grateful and very excited to see where God takes me. The film releases today in cinemas, get your tickets, tag us and let us know what you guys think ❤️

When @usmanoriaz first told me about the @theglassworkerfilm I had already seen this man do wonders beyond his age and didn't doubt for a second that Allah will help him achieve this feat also but the journey ahead of him was tough. To the dreamers who took this on themselves and have given this country something to be proud of, brag about and build on.
