This is a Night of Comedy you do not want to miss!!!
David Razowsky is the former Artistic Director of The Second City Los Angeles, host of the podcast A.D.D. Comedy, and author of the best-selling book “A Subversive’s Guide to Improvisation.” A globally recognized master instructor, David has spent decades teaching actors to trade plot-driven anxiety for absolute presence.

During his landmark tenure at The Second City, David wrote, directed, and performed in numerous resident mainstage revues, collaborating with comedic icons including Steve Carell, Stephen Colbert, Amy Sedaris, Chris Farley, Keegan-Michael Key, and Rachel Dratch. Beyond The Second City, he has directed for Amsterdam’s Boom Chicago, performed with the Reduced Shakespeare Company at the Kennedy Center, and served as a consultant for DreamWorks.

As a teacher and lecturer, David has served on the adjunct faculty at California State University, taught for Steppenwolf Theatre, and delivered a TEDx Talk in New Zealand. His masterclasses regularly bring him to theaters and festivals across the US, Australia, Europe, and the UK.

Brent is the co-owner of The Spotlight Theatre and studied improv under Dave for several years at The Second City in Los Angeles.

Come witness a night of improv hilarity with a master and his student. Purchase tickets here > https://comedysportzqc.com/calendar.php #qctheatre #quadcities #qcevents #moline #downtownmoline

About last weekend….

ImprovCon was a truly magical experience. It really was like ComicCon for Improvisors. The weekend was full of great performances and even a rare set from Broken Home (TJ&Dave, WeirDass, and Scott Adsit). It felt like an improv concert event. I was so honored to bring 2 workshops to the event. Met up with improvisers that I haven’t seen in awhile. And met improvisers that I knew for a while but met in person for the first time. Attended panel discussions. And the jams, oh the jams. Some festivals barely have a jam (I usually have to ask if there will be one), but this one had at least 2-3 community jams everyday (Thanx @ruddyjameson168).

Definitely had a great time. I wish I took more pics. Thanx u to Chris and the whole @improvcon staff! @ccolthurst really created something special and I hope it continues.

I’ll miss u ImprovCon!

Special shout-out to David Razowsky ❤️🎭

Two classes at #ImprovCon and I’m hooked! So many “aha!” moments and so much inspiration about presence, listening, discovery and trusting the moment.

And what a wonderful surprise when David credited Tina Landau with creating three of the Viewpoints he was teaching — Tina and I were classmates in the BHHS Drama Department! I certainly wasn’t surprised to learn that such wonderful guidance came from her. ❤️

Thank you, David — I can’t wait to learn more! @tinalandau @drazowsky @improvcon

What a weekend at ImprovCon!🎭💕Three days of learning playing laughing #and watching some truly extraordinary improvisers at work I came home inspired, challenged, and exhausted in the best way! it was amazing to learn from David Razowsky along with workshops and performances featuring Mick Napier, Scott Adsit &Jet Everett, TJ & Dave, Susan Messing & Rachael Mason ~ The Boys, Asian AF, Keiko Agena and so many other remarkable artist artists. Huge thanks to Chris "Jazz" Colthurst and the entire @ImprovCon 2026 team for creating a weekend where this community came together from all over the world to learn, play and celebrate this wonderful art form. Already carrying pieces of this weekend into my own work! ❤️ #improvcon #improv #actorlife #alwayslearning

Never meet your heroes they say... Instead I got to be taught by them and watch them put on a show unlike any other. The greatest improvisers in the world. All in one space and one community.

Enjoy our trip to San Diego through the lens of the @campsnapcamera and our phones and see the people, places, and things we experienced. (It was the best kind of exhausting!)

ImprovCon 2026 was incredible. Thankful to David and Matt for providing this opportunity for growth for Jake and I! Yesandia’s got a bright future with improvisers all over the world excited to work with us and collaborate!
