A plan that only works when life goes exactly according to plan isn’t particularly useful But neither is changing the plan every time life doesn’t Your plan is supposed to work in your favor It’s meant to give you structure Direction Something to measure A way to make decisions when life inevitably gets a little messy It’s not supposed to hold you hostage Dinner out doesn’t mean your goals disappear Travel doesn’t mean your habits don’t matter A stressful day doesn’t automatically require a different standard But none of those things mean you have to execute everything exactly as written either There’s a lot of room between rigidity and constantly accommodating ourselves Sometimes we adjust the plan Sometimes we plan ahead Sometimes we accept that “good enough” is enough for today And sometimes we recognize that we’re perfectly capable of doing the thing under less-than-perfect conditions The skill is knowing the difference Because the plan was never supposed to become another thing you have to organize your entire life around It’s supposed to help you navigate your life while still moving toward something you said mattered to you Because having a plan was never about controlling every variable…it’s about not leaving the things that matter entirely up to chance

Most people don’t need more information about how to lose fat Most people already know you should eat enough protein We know vegetables are good for us We know moving your body matters We know sleep matters We know that a calorie deficit is required for fat loss Most probably even know what the plan is supposed to look like So why can it still feel so fucking hard? Because knowing what to do and being able to consistently execute it are two very different skills And I think we’ve made fat loss unnecessarily complicated by constantly convincing ourselves the answer is somewhere else A new plan A different macro split A new workout More cardio A supplement A better recipe A more perfect Monday I’ve watched this happen so many times…someone knows exactly what they should be doing, but the second it gets hard or progress slows down, they start looking for something new to fix Sometimes you don’t need another answer You need to get better at applying the answers you already have And that requires more than nutrition knowledge It requires a strategy that fits your actual life Knowing what matters most and what really doesn’t Being able to adjust without abandoning the entire plan And having enough patience to let your actions actually produce a result Because the goal isn’t to know everything about fat loss It’s to know what matters for you… and become really fucking good at doing that
