I have a wonderful picture book series recommendation for all you history lovers out there! The “Here I Am” series highlights fascinating and faithful Christians from history. Included are:

- C.S. Lewis
- Augustine of Hippo
- Lottie Moon
- Dietrich Bonhoeffer
- and Lulu Fleming

The illustrating style is very creative. Each book is designed in such a way that an animal basically “narrates” and takes us through the story which makes for fun storytelling! “The Writer Who Found Joy”, the biography about C.S. Lewis, for instance, is narrated by “Gilbert the Owl”. The books take us through their lives, highlighting important milestones and giving a great overview of their lives.

The Friend Who Forgives: A True Story about How Peter Failed and Jesus Forgave

Read this beautiful Bible storybook with Xiao Jojo when he's 10 months old - probably a little young, but it’s never too early to start! His favorite for a whole month, we must read this every morning before breakfast.

The story is really well told, with fun, engaging illustrations. It’s meaningful, age appropriate, and easy to enjoy together.

Definitely something I’d consider gifting.
A great read overall!

📖 The Friend Who Forgives: A True Story About How Peter Failed and Jesus Forgave
✏️ written by Dan Dewitt
🎨 illustrated by Catalina Echeverri
🗞️ published by The Good Book Company
@drdandewitt @cataverridoodle @thegoodbookcompanyusa

"A long time ago there was a man named Peter who was best friends with Jesus. Peter was a fisherman. He was strong and brave. But...He often said the wrong thing."

I love the Tales That Tell The Truth series! This one points to Christ, displaying His forgiveness and His work on the cross. Jesus's death took the punishment for our sins. He defeated sin and death. In Christ, we can experience true forgiveness.

Like Peter, we will sin and fail Jesus BUT
"If you trust in Jesus, he will forgive you, too--again, and again, and again."

The illustrations are fun and whimsical. The text is engaging! The best part ➡️ the gospel is shared!

We love this book!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5 out of 5 stars.
➡️ Head to mudpieswithsprinkles.com for a full review. Please note there are cartoon illustrations of Jesus.

Thank you @thegoodbookcompanyusa for providing me a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. The above are my thoughts and opinions.

🥳 Look out for a Giveaway!

With great Joy and Love,
Katie
