NEVER FORGET — September 11, 2001 🇺🇸🙏🏾🗽💔 Twenty-five years later, I can still remember that Tuesday morning as if it were yesterday. I was teaching my high school students at Walbrook High School when our principal, Dr. Bundley, came over the intercom and told us to turn on the televisions. He told us that the World Trade Center had been attacked. In that moment, everything changed. I remember praying out loud with my students. I remember the fear, confusion, and disbelief in the room. As someone from New York, my mind immediately went to my family. Were they okay? I tried calling, but the phone lines were overwhelmed and busy. All I could do was pray. I prayed for my family. I prayed for the victims. I prayed for the first responders who were running toward danger while everyone else was running away. I prayed for the families who had no idea what was happening to their loved ones. And then we cried. We cried together. On that day, America stood together as one. Our differences seemed to disappear, and we were reminded of the preciousness of life, family, community, and one another. Today, as we mark the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001, my heart goes out to every family who lost a loved one, every survivor, every first responder, and every person whose life was forever changed that day. May God continue to comfort and strengthen every family carrying that loss. May we continue to honor the lives that were taken and the heroes who gave so much. 🇺🇸 I WILL NEVER FORGET. 🇺🇸 🕊️ September 11, 2001 — Forever in our hearts. God bless America. God bless the families. God bless our first responders. ❤️🙏🏾 #NeverForget #911Memorial #September112001 #25Years #UnitedWeStand

AUGUST 2026. Last month I ushered in a new chapter in this journey called life. To tell you the truth, the past couple of chapters have been challenging. However, I believe they were necessary to mold me into the woman I’m becoming. I’m extremely grateful to God for continuing to carry me through, and thankful to the angels (some of them pictured here) that She’s sent to support me along the way. In Chapter 37, I’m committing to exploring my creativity, a gift I consider sacred, and sharing more of it with you. I had scheduled a photoshoot for my birthday but it was cancelled…so I decided to create one for myself. Because when what’s planned falls apart, what’s within you still shows up. That’s grace too. 🕊️💕 #Chapter37 #VirgoSeason #Creative #Entrepreneurship #explorepage

Last Saturday I had the pleasure of hosting Alums from my Alma Mater @universityatbuffalo @soulbrunch.ub was in DC for the 2nd time @mixxeddc home of the Smash Burger. They serve up a delicious weekend brunch along with bottomless mimosas. They are amazing at hosting events big or small 💙. The staff is truly amazing providing excellent service. Along with the one and only @truesunali who was gracious enough to DJ for us once again. Thank you to @nellzatc founder of #ubsoul for continuing to trust me with hosting duties as we work to grow our DC connections. Your leadership, organizing, and your efforts to grow the UB network/connections especially for people of color never goes unnoticed and is greatly appreciated. Thank you to @drdevonl.deembappe & @evrydystyle who also worked behind the scenes as part of the brunch committee to make this a success. Shout out to all the Alums that came and showed out, we had graduates from the 90’s to the 10’s. We def had a time and be sure to look out for info related to Homecoming 2026 🤘🏾 Until next time 💙 #tammyonthetown #foodiebaddie #ubsoulindc #alums
