Never did I ever think that grad school 2.0 was going to rock my world the way it did.😎

Leaving my teaching career of 8+ years and moving all the way to Wisconsin was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Not just because of all the academic researchin’ and learnin’ that took place at UW–Madison, but because of the relationships that were built along the way.

La gente que conocí, the places I traveled, and the frennnnss I made in Madison and abroad made these last three years algo único.

Leaving Madison feels bittersweet. It’s hard to leave a place that’s been such a big part of my life these last couple years. But, as I head back to Washington, I’m grateful knowing I’ll always have mi Madison gente to come back to… well, at least en la pista de baile. 💃🏽😎😎

Love you, mi gente hermosa. Gracias por todo, y hastaaaa prontooooo! ❤️

⭐️ Recent work ⭐️ Here's something me and @dre.seider collaborated on recently: an intro vid for new podcast Writing Forward with Jeff Oloizia. Jeff was looking for a casual, mixed media style so I created lots of loose, hand drawn line animations paired with jittery, lo fi, printed images and textures to speak to the podcast's subject matter -- down to earth interviews with writers from Wisconsin. I created most of the animated assets and Dre handled editing everything together and adding sound effects. This was a super fun way to work for both of us, and @jeffoloizia was stoked with the outcome 😎 Thanks Dre! Thanks Jeff! ✨ #mixedmediaanimation

It’s been many years since I was the crush written about in your diary or since I asked you to our first homecoming with roses in your locker. Although history tried to pair our fates, BFFs/colleagues/roommates was our true calling and our lives continue to be intertwined despite the miles apart.
